Change in my dining party? Question

Well my original trip was suppose to be 3, but my daughter is not starting college until the spring and my 19 yr old decided he wanted to come. I have 2 reservations where I could not change the amount in my party. so it was originally 3 now 5. Will the restaurants turn us away or will they help us. What your thoughts?

Could go either way. They might accommodate, might turn you away if they don’t have capacity. Or, you may have a longer wait for a table.

Going from 3 to 4 isn’t so hard, because most parties of 3 will be seated at tables for 4. Going from 3 to 5 is harder because now you’ll need a table for (5 or) 6. Keep looking for ADRs for 5 or 6 (the system likes even numbers better than odd numbers), also try for an ADR for 2 people around the same time as your original ADRs. If you can get ADRs for 2, then check in together, about 10-15 minutes early, with the CM, not via MDE, tell them you’re together and would like to be seated as close together as possible.

Adding to the good advice above IF the ADRs are later in your trip stop by the restaurants a day or so before and talk to a podium CM. That would make life easier on the day you are actually eating there.
Had a similar problem once and Chefs de France once made aware that more guests were expected changed my time and made space for the extra guests. Took about 10 minutes to accomplish and wasn’t late for our FP.

We had that issue a few years ago. Needed to add another. Couldn't do it online. Called Disney Dining and talked to CMs at the front desk of our resort and they couldn't do anything. Stopped at the 2 restaurants a day before and they easily took care of it.

I did notice on our trip in July that that when checking in on the app, there was the the option to add one more guest. That wouldn’t help you with adding two, but it might be information that would come in handy at some point!
