Change in itnerary..Kinda bummed..

Just got an email that our flight for our trip in August has been changed. Instead of leaving at 7 am we don't leave until 9 a.m. In the past 6 years we have always had the 7 am flight and by 11:30 we are either eating lunch or swimming at WDW, now we will just be landing at the airport.

We are staying at AKL and had planned on having lunch and going to BB and then to Chef Mickey's for dinner. Now it looks like we will be eating lunch on the bus to AKL and swimming at the pool and then heading to Chef Mickey's for dinner.

My DH was thinking we could swim a bit and then head over to AK so him and DS can ride Expetition Evereset. Are the FP usually gone by mid afternoon?

Hi. I live in Michigan also and I'm assuming you are talking about Northwest since they changed my flight times also (sounds like tht same flight as yours). It left 2 hours later on the outbound and left Orlando an hour earlier on the return. I like to be there as long as possible myself so first I checked Spirit's times and not only were they better the flight was cheaper. So, I canceled the Northwest (no penalty because they change was on their end) and booked with Spirit. Now I just have to wait for Northwest to issue the refund to my credit card. Maybe that could work for you? When are you going in August? We leave August 22nd.

I'm sorry this happened. I'd be bummed, too! Do you mind if I ask which airline you are using? I've read about Air Tran changing flights now and then.

Yes I have the flight booked thru Northwest. There was no change in our flight on the way home, just leaving. I guess we are lucky they didn't change the flight home like on yours, because we like staying as long as we can too. We leave on August 28. #1Disfann where are you at in Michigan? We are in the downriver area about 20 miles outside of Detroit. How long are you staying for?

I'm about 1 hour north of Detroit, Northern Oakland County. I'm glad to hear your return flight was not affected. We will be staying at POP from Aug 22-29th. It will be our first stay at a value and we are looking forward to POP. We stayed at WL last Aug./Sept and while it is nice, I don't think it's worth the extra money. Where are you staying? Have a great vacation!

Our flight was changed to from 7am to 11am - American Airlines - I checked to see what other times were out there and found that they still had one for 6:30 am - called up American Airlines and they changed us back to earlier flight.

I had a 7:40am flight on USAirways and it got changed to 8:45am. Was only an hour later but I was really bummed. An hour in Disney means a LOT! Anyway, about a month later, the flight was changed to 7:30am. Yeah! Keeping my fingers crossed that it stays this way!

We went at Spring Break last year and were supposed to fly out of Philadelphia around 7 am. As we were walking out the door to go to the airport (around 4:30 am) we get a call from Delta telling us that our flight has been CANCELLED and the next earliest time we can get a flight is 7 PM!! We had ADR's for Hoop-Dee-Doo that night and had planned to get a couple of hours in the parks.

I was so shaken!! DH got on the phone and firmly asked her to get us something much sooner. Long Story short, we ended up getting routed through Cinncinati then on to Orlando. We arrived at the AKL just in time to grab a taxi and just make it to our Hoop-Dee-Doo ADR. Basically, It was one day's park ticket wasted.

My point is, I feel your pain and I know every minute counts at WDW!! I hope it works out the way you want it to!!

Yah it always stinks when flights get changed. However, I will tell you from my own experience that fast passes for EE go fast. I was there last weekend and by noon the passes were all gone, and the wait was 90 minutes (the ride ended up breaking down before i go on it) so hopefully you have better luck than I did!

We are going in October with a 6:20am flight. I wish they would push it back a little. That being said, sorry that they are messing up your schedule. The funny thing is that you will adapt the whatever they throw at you and have a great time. Take care

I know how you feel! We just found out that our flight on Allegiant changed from 7am to 12:40pm!!! That is a huge difference! We just happened to be checking on our flight and saw the times changed! No one even contacted us!

We are staying in at the AKL. OUr first time in a deluxe. Could not pass it up with the free dining. We were originally booked at the All Star Sports and for a difference of $300 we made the change to AKL. My DH and I are very excited. My 2 DS's ages 9 & 7 are not as much, however, I am sure once we get there they will be in awe.

We stayed at the POP last June and really enjoyed our stay. The lobby has shadow boxes on the walls with memboralia from the 40's on up. My boys had a good laugh at all the stuff especially the Atari game. My DH and I enjoyed taking a look back in time. If you get the chance, walk around the whole resort because there are signs along the way indicating what happen in each decade.

The bus service was the best we had. The longest wait we had from a park was 15 minutes at MK after the fireworks. 2 buses were coming at a time.
The food court was good. We ate breakfast there nearly every morning and had a lunch there. The food was good and the portions were huge. More than enough food to eat.
