Change fee for upgrading to DDP for FD?

We have QSDP right now, we want to upgrade to DDP, but it will be after our 45 day mark. Will we get charged the $50 change fee?

I believe that as long as you're upgrading there is no change fee, unless it's a downgrade that they will apply a charge

Depending on the CM, you might get charged, but Disney has been known to waive that fee if the package cost increases. Keep in mind that if you do decide to upgrade, it has to be done at least 72 hrs (3 days) prior to arrival .

If you upgrade & cost more no penalty if that person try to say yes ask to speak to a guest relationship supervisor : But you have to do it 72 hrs before you get there. But no fee for upgrade

My daughter and I went last year at FD and we were passed the 45 day mark.
We had to down grade as her husband couldn't come at the last minute, they didn't charge her anything. She got money back for her husband ticket.
