chances on waitlist

We have reserved a 2br at OKW but I could not get the Thursday night during our staying for the first week of December. I went ahead a booked Mon - Thur and Fri -Sat and was put on a waitlist for Thursday. Is there a good change that we will get that night? If not, this could really put a damper on the vacation It could even cut it short or we'll have to stay at a resort. I also asked to be put on a waitlist for any other DVC resort for the Mon thru Fri that we need. Anyone previously on a waitlist get the night they were waiting for? Should I call at least once a week from now until the end of November to check on this or should I just count on the waitlist. I have never been on a waitlist before and need experts advice on this. Thank you.

since you are only missing one night - I really think the wait list will come through for you - boy you are lucky!!!

If you haven't heard by November I would start calling again - but I really think you will heard before then

I know how you feel! I'm in a similar situation.

I wanted to switch from a 1 bedroom standard at the BWV to a 2 bedroom standard within a week of the 11 month window for the first week in December but I needed to be waitlisted for most of it. I believe they had one night available (Dec 3) so I waitlisted the other 4 nights; Nov 30 & Dec 1 on one waitlist, and Dec 4th and 5th on another waitlist. I've already gotten Dec 4th and 5th so I'm still waiting on Nov 30 and Dec 1. Meanwhile, I booked a studio at OKW for my BIL's family for those 2 nights we're missing and then we're in a one-bedroom for those 2 nights so we'll both have to move after the first 2 nights but that's better than nothing!

Just wanted to share my story. I got 2 nights so far and I'm waiting on 2.

hang in there, i called for ressies the end of june for the first week of aug. for a studio, bcv,bwv,wlv . and you only remain on the waitlist up to 7 days before your ressies start. i have been sweating it out and they finally called today with my dates and staying at the bwv. yahooo. and i only had 2 weeks left or 1 more week on the waitlist.
so, dreams do come true.

I think you have a good chance of it coming through. December is still a ways off and plans do change. You might want to book a cash ressie somewhere for that night just as a back up and then cancel it if the waitlist comes through. We have been fortunate and the waitlist has worked for us each time we have used it. Good Luck!

Waitlists have tended to come through for me at just before the 30 day mark, when there is a high danger of people losing points if they don't cancel. Good luck, I'm sure you will get it!

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I am at least hopeful now. Hope everyone that is on a waitlist gets what they want (maybe we can get a little pixie dust from tinkerbell to help).
