Chances on BC waitlist for Presidents Week?

My cousin and her SO are hoping to spend their birthdays (days apart) in WDW. Trouble is, their birthdays are 2/18 & 2/22 - President's week. They're on the waitlist for BCV. What are the chances something will open up for them for that week? I feel so bad for cousin's SO - she so had her heart set on being in WDW for their birthdays.

Do ALL of the DVC resorts really book up completely for that week?

I would guess there is actually room at other resorts if they wanted to try those- if they are set on one resort it should have been booked at the 7 or if possible 11 month window. I would say the longer the trip the less likely the waitlist will come through.

BCV are small and very popular, so it does tend to book up more quickly than other DVC resorts.

Your cousins should make a back up reservation - maybe at the BWV (same general location), so that they know they have a place to stay.

I think the waitlist will work for them, but it might be a while.

Beach Club Is really hard to get. It books up faster than any other DVC, and I've never had a wait list come through. We ended up buying points there because we could never get a summer reservation there at 7 months.

I waitlisted there in March for our upcoming stay over sweetest day weekend for F&W festival. I thought it was a long shot but lo and behold it came through this week. So it took 5 months but it happened! I would definitely have a back up plan just in case.
