Chances On A Waitlist?

Calling all experts!

OK, we've made our ressies for OKW for the week after Thanksgiving. Very exciting!!!! :happy1: Big family trip so it should be fun. Lots of grandparents along so that maybe DH and I can take advantage of free babysitting

Now for the question. I was watching the Travel Channel over the holidays and love what they showed at BCV for Christmas, so I'd really like to stay there. We'd have to wait for the 7 month window to see if we can get a ressie there. If we can't, I'm just going to get on the wait list. So what are my chances for getting our ressie switched to BCV, especially if we have to go on the wait list?

I figure either way we're cool, cuz we've still got OKW. Just checking out my options here!

DVC doesn't release any occupancy figures, so it's virtually impossible to predict. WDW attendance typically drops right after Thanksgiving, but DVC attendance is high due to low points.

Guess it just depends upon how many other people's plans might change over the next 11 months. You never know, the room might be available when you first call. Could be someone holding a room at BCV right now for the same dates who wants to switch to VWL or SSR at 7 months.

If you call right at the 7-month window and a room isn't available I would be pretty confident that the wait list will probably come through. Just be patient, we've had the waitlist come through 2 weeks out before.
