Chances of holiday room ready early??

Should I assume nothing before 4pm check in during holiday time (xmas to New Year) ??

Last year we arrived at OKW on December 21st around 12:30 pm. We ate lunch at Olivia's and our room was ready by the time we had finished lunch.

Done this the last 4 years

2008 2 bedroom dedicated - great location room ready 6 ish pm, we arrived early afternoon and waited for a good location

2007 2 bedroom dedicated - great location room ready 4 ish, we arrived late morning and waited for a good location

2006 2 bedroom lockoff SSR - crappy location room ready 8pm, we arrived at noon

2005 1 bedroom SSR, awesome location room ready when we arrived early afternoon

You should ALWAYS assume that at a DVC property and be happily surprised if you do better.

Now that I've said that, we got into all of our Beach Club Villa and Beach Club rooms (3 separate check-ins) between December 21 and Dec 30 last year around 1 PM.

We checked in at 7AM on New Years Day a few years ago, but our room wasn't ready until nearly 6PM.

Don't forget, check in is AFTER 4PM, not by 4PM.

Most of my checkins have been around or after the 4 pm time.

Our best surprise was when we checked in several years ago at OKW. We arrived at 6 am in the morning - actually had to wait a few minutes for the desk to open - and were able to get our room then. The most amazing thing was it was the same room we were in six months before !

I've checked in to a 1BR at BWV on 12/26 the last 4 years (I'm a teacher and unfortunately my vacation dates aren't flexible, so always travel 12/26-1/1). I've arrived between 9:00-10:00AM each year, and the room has been ready each time.
