chances of getting multiple rooms at OKW

I'm just doing some planning and am interested in getting feedback on my chances of getting 2 two-bedrooms and a studio at OKW the week after Christmas (Dec. 30 - Jan 5). It's not my home resort, but because of the large number of 2 BR units at OKW, I thought it would be a reasonable bet at the 7 month window.

On a related matter, is MS able to link the reservations for the rooms so that they're in the same building? Or is this just a request like a room request?

The week of Christmas-NYE is the busiest week of the year in Disney. NYE will be sold out. OKW owners are extremely loyal to their resort and the point value vs other resorts is a steal. I was just at WDW this past weekend, staying at SSR. We took a tour of the SSR and OKW Grand Villas. The occupancy at SSR was 50%, OWK was 95%. Last week was ultra slow at Disney.

We are OKW owners and I don't think you'll have any problem as long as you call at the 7-month point. I would suggest booking something at your home resort so you have a room. Then call to switch at the 7-month point. Just remember that OKW has the lowest points cost per night so plan accordingly. You don't want to get stuck with points you can't use when switching to a resort that costs less.

Also, MS can link the reservations but there is no guaranty they will be near each other. Room assignments will depend on what is available on your check-in day.

Thanks for the feedback. I've booked a 2BR at my home resort for that week (BLT) and will try at the 7 month window for OKW.

I thought you needed 2 2 bedrooms and a studio. You better book them now at home resort or you might not get in.

I don't have enough BLT points to book 2 2BR, (some of our points are at SSR), so I just have to wait until the 7 month window and try to get the rooms. Also, the point costs are obviously a lot less at OKW...
