We will be checking in on Sunday 8/10 for 5 nights. What do you think the chances of an early check in will be? I am trying to plan the timing of my drive from Ohio. I am hoping that maybe the GV would be available anytime before 4:00. Thanks for any help or advice.

and we live in North Royalton, OH. Drove down on Sat the 14th, left at 5:45AM and pulled into HHI at 5:30 PM. Easy drive except for the people that don't now how to get out of the passing lane. Anyway, we stayed at the quality inn on museum street SAt night and thought we'd get over to Disney early and check-in on Sunday. Had reservations for a 2 bedroom and a studio. Neither was ready before 3:00. A couple of other tips. Sign-up early for the activities that require a reservation, because many sell out. The kayaking trip was very cool, got to within 15' of dolphins. Also, the cast members are awesome. This was our first trip to HHI and we will definitely go back. Make sure you check out the magic show, very good.
Have fun!

We've had a GV at HH the past several summers. In each case, DW and I had a studio the night before and one time our GV was ready early (it was not occupied the night before and thus didn't need to be cleaned).

On that occasion, we moved into the GV at 8:00am and were all set before our family arrived after noon.

All of the other trips, the GV was not ready until after 3:00pm - so we had to vacate the studio and pack everything into the car while waiting for the GV to be prepared.

If you are prepared to possibly have to wait a few hours, you can arrive early, but otherwise it might be best not to arrive before at least 3PM.

Have a great stay - the GVs are wonderful! :)
