Chances of a waitlist at BWV?

What are my chances of getting a studio at BWV? I would need it end of July, 26th thru 30th. Does waitlisting "usually" come through 9 weeks out? I currently have a rez at VWL but would rather be in the Epcot area this time. Thanks:confused:

As long as you are not trying to get a standard view or boardwalk view villa, I would say you chances are fair to good. I have had luck with a BWV waitlist quite a few times, but NEVER for a standard or boardwalk view villas--the vast majority of those villas are scooped up by BWV members as soon as the booking window opens.
Good luck!

I would say that as long as you're not fussy about the view, you probably have a pretty good chance.

Of course, you'll be paying premium view points and probably won't get a BW view(but you will get some nice view!), but if that's the area you really want, then that's the price you pay!;)

We like that BW area as well, for it's proximity to so many things!

What are the other views if not standard or bw view? Where are the prefered exactly. What should I request. I tend to like being up high.

The other view at BWV is Preferred - Pool/Garden. Those rooms include views of Luna Park (feature pool with slide), the quiet pool and Community Hall Building, the canal and Swan/Dolphin Hotels, or the Village Green. (That's the lawn between the BWI/BWV wings. This is the view to request if you'd like to see a portion of the Boardwalk and don't have a guaranteed Boardwalk view).

If you want to be "up high", just request an upper floor. Be sure to list your requests in the order of importance to you. Most people put their smoking preference first.

Best wishes -

I'm interested in the replies you get....I'm currently on the wait list for a one bedroom standard view for our November trip. I was able to change our reservation at BCV to BWV at the seven month mark, but I couldn't get all five nights standard view. Our first two nights are preferred (I was surprised I even got three nights standard!)....I'm hoping they open up!

I am curious about the response to this also. We are waitlisted for nights in October. We have two 2 bedrooms at BWV, but we need one add'l night for one room and two add'l nights for the other.

We have told member services to just book them if they become available. But for those that have had success with waitlist, did you keep calling back or just wait it out. I wondering if I have a better chance of getting these nights if I call frequently.

Thanks. :wave2:

I'm waiting patiently ( ) to get my one remaining night at VWL for Thanksgiving. Got the last 5 nights through waitlising but still waiting on my check-in day which, of course, is Thanksgiving Day!! I think I'll just call and check once a month to see what's going on.

I was able to get PV studio at less than 2 months out for the exact same time period last year. I'd recommend a "pool view" over garden view. It's just my opinion, but I had a garden view of the valet parking lot/service area driveway (primarily) last year. Also could see TOT when standing on balcony and looking right & the canal was below me. From what I could tell, the pool views at BWV are very nice if you're paying PV points. Good luck. I think you have a pretty good chance of getting a reservation. Have a great time :wave2:
