Challenge for lurkers

Hi Everyone!

I've seen a few of these de-lurker posts over the years, but this one seems really fun...I want to play, too!

I have been reading the boards for a few years...I post every so often, but in comparison to the time I spend reading, it is pretty minimal. I guess I even lurked at last year's Disapalooza...I was in the World that weekend (with non-DISers, unfortunately) but didn't get to go to the party. I did get a glimpse of Julie walking with adorable little Ferris around the Boardwalk, so no complaints!

I never miss the Podcast -- I travel a lot for work, so I burned through the archives pretty quickly and now alternate between the new shows and repeats of my favorite episodes. It is such a great way to feed my Disney habit in between visits, and even though I consider myself a Disney know-it-all, I have learned SO much. All of the tips, tricks, and reviews have been wonderful...and thank you, thank you, thank you for introducing me to Give Kids the World!!! I love hearing about this amazing place...I even planned a trip down next month just so I can volunteer for the weekend! Thanks Teresa for helping me with my Dolphin reservation :)

I love the DIS and have always felt part of the community, even if I haven't been very vocal...and maybe now I'll be brave enough to chime in a little more often!

PS -- LJSRDH, I'm a subway listener as well! And yes, I've gotten quite a few strange looks while listening. Riding the F train doesn't usually inspire a lot of smiles, but I'm there with a big goofy grin on my face. Perhaps we'll be chuckling on the same car one day!

Hi all,
I'm not a true lurker, although I don't post regularly. Love the podcasts, love reading the boards and occasionally post a comment or two. I find the content on the boards (and wdwinfo) to be a great help when planning our vacations. Thanks podcast team for all you do to keep us informed about our favorite "happy place". :thumbsup2

I hardly ever post, but love to lurk and absolutely love the podcast!!!

Keep up all the great work. It makes the 1 hour drive into work manageable!

Hi All. I'm mostly a lurker, too. I never miss a podcast and have been listening for almost 4 years now! I check the boards daily, mostly this one and the Canadian board. Because of this site and podcast I'm considered a Disney expert, even giving advice to people who have travelled to WDW before!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the diversion. And thanks for a place to interact with (or maybe just read passively to :surfweb:) people with whom I have lots in common. Because of reading trip reports and updates from the parks I have had a better holiday each time I've travelled, finding out about more and more things to see and do.

Remember the episode when Bob brought the Dole whip trash as props? I made my husband listen to that episode and both of us were laughing so hard we had tears shooting out! I miss Bob. Nice to know that I am not the only, trying to be brave, newbie around here. HEYYY! I hope I am doing this right!

nope! did it wrong!hahahaha. this is hard. I guess it get easy once you know how it works. I'll work on this replying business on smaller threads and masterit before hitting thr bigger ones. sorry!:sad2:

Lurkings fun!! I dont post much but I am always on the boards. And I absolutely love the podcast!!

Hi! Not a lurker on the boards but, definitely a lurker on the Podcast forum. Love the podcast and the entire team. You all have me in stitches every week! So... hello from a Podcast lurker!

Holy smokes we have a lot of lurkers :thumbsup2

Welcome All!!!!

Let's keep it going - who else out there lurking.

Hey Alison! I'm so glad I'm not alone....I'm on the 1 train or the M7 bus usually and can totally relate. I've gotten to the point where it is useless to try to do a crossword/sudoku as I'm so taken with the content! I'm a big fan of Kevin's reviews..and everything else for that matter!

If you hear someone say "stay out of the damn lakes" in unison with Peter on your train, make sure you say hi!

Laura :)

I go back and forth... I lurk a lot and post some. I get lost and have trouble keeping up sometimes but it is all fun!!

Welcome to all the lurkers!

Well it's back to work, and time to lurk. Hi everyone, I listen every week (and every day to the archives) but i just can't find the time to post. But I wanted to say I love this site more than anything in the world. Hooray!

Thanks everyone, this is a great thread. I hereby declare that I shall come out of lurkerdom! Henceforth, I shall post frequently and ask to be let in on any inside jokes that may occur!

My wife and I actually met on a Disney fan-run message board similar to this one. We are Disney Geeks through and through and proud of it. We live in Buffalo, NY where I currently attend University at Buffalo as an Italian Major. I'm one of those guys who went back to school after years of working. Other than Disney, Italian language and culture has always been my major passion, so I figured, why don't I leave this job that gives me nothing but a paycheck and instead do something I love?

We're DVC members and our home resort is AKV. While we get down to WDW at least twice a year, it's not as often as we'd like. We also try to mix in a trip to DLR every couple years, along with a trip to Italy to visit family every few years so you can imagine that time (and money) can get tight!

I hope to get to know you guys better through these boards, and if the day comes where we finally do a Podcast cruise or ABD trip with Disers we'll be happy to meet you in person.

By the way, if anyone here can PM me to tell me how to put the AKV Owner banner on the bottom of my signature, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've seen them on people's pages and they are very cool!

Hi! I am a sometime lurker who listens to the podcast every week and will be going on the cruise in December :yay:. Love the podcast, you guys make me laugh every week! Can't wait for the cruise!
