Chacos at a discount?

My DD is wanting some Chacos for our Disney trip and I don't want to pay 95.00 for a pair of sandals. Does anyone know where to find these at a discount? I found a website that has some, but I have never ordered from them before. http://www.sierratradingpost.com/Chaco.html

Also, if you have these, do you like them?

I'm not sure where to buy them discounted, but I do own a pair (bought them at REI) and I love them. I know several people who swear by them and wear them every single day for the entire spring/summer.

If she hasn't tried a pair on before, definitely have her try on a pair at the store - they have an interesting fit because of the high arch support and the actual sizing can be a bit strange (I know some people who went down a half size, some who went up a half size, and some who stayed true to size). They can also take a bit of time to break in and to find the correct adjustment for the straps for optimum comfort (the sales people at the store should be able to help with that).

I've never seen them at a discount other than the standard pricing at zappos.com or amazon.com. I own Chacos but I buy them because of the high arch support as I suffer from overpronation. Chacos are a great brand with sandles for helping with overpronation.

If your daughter doesn't need them for foot problems and you don't want to spend that much I would see if you can have her find another brand that is similar in style.

I also agree with piratesnowmen that Chacos have an unique fit and if you aren't used to wearing a high arch as a corrective shoe they can actually make you feet hurt somewhat. Not sure if all of their shoes are high arch shoes or just specific ones.

I can't help with the Chaco's - never tried them. They look similar to Teva's which I LOVE and live in from April - mid October. (different styles)

But I have ordered from Sierra Trading post. Several times. My order has always arrived when they said, I've always gotten confirmation and shipping emails, plus a follow up, my CC has always been charged correctly and they have a great return policy (that I've never had to use!) I would not hesitate to order from Sierra Trading Post.

I believe all of their shoes have the high arches, or, at least most of them do. That's also why I bought mine - I needed more support than just a plain flip flop or sandal. I'm in college and people wear them all the time. I think they're perfect for walking around campus in - I tried wearing flip flops with no support and after a few days my feet hurt really badly. The support in the chacos is just right for me.

My DH and another friend swear by them. In their opinion they are the best sandals ever, much better then Tevas. Both have worn theirs out and have sent them back to Chaco for new tread and straps. So that's a huge plus. I'd like to try them but they don't sell the womens wide width int he store so I'm hesitant to purchase without trying them. Instead I purchased a pair of Keens, not as sandal like but cost about the same and has been well worth the price.
