I get a msg. that says they are experienceing a significant amount of traffic.

I just think they are having alot of glitches in their programs.

*Schachteles* I get alot of those too.
I just close them out right away.

It is really odd to get that message...not sure what I did...hopefully they will get it fixed, they obviously have "issues" that they need to work through. I have been accepting the training sessions because it doesn't say what you are training the person on till it opens up...if you let it run its course and no guides accept it I still get paid a whopping FOUR CENTS :rotfl2:

I was just able to get on. Haven't gotten any trainings yet though...

Strange...still haven't had any trainings yet....

Mine is still down,, so is the Underground site.

Also that "reported" msg. ,,that comes up for training ,, I do "close" em out
as soon as I see them. WHy ?

well because I did except one and actually got a trainee. I asked what
their keyword was and they told me. So I proceded to conclude the training.
Gave the person a great star.
Keep in mind I had no idea what the whole msg. was beause we only see the first
3 words of the key words.
Buttttttttt , when we finished and I went to see what it was ,, well it was
like 10 sentences about being reported for strong language,,violating chacha's
policy,, etc etc etc. ,,, And I did not like the looks of that One bit.
Even though it was a legit training session for both of us the key
words came thru as that .

I did see on chacha's board somewhere to just "ignore" that and proceed
like I did with the first one I got. but I just didn't want people to get the wrong
impression when they check my searches and see that ,, SO I just close them
out now when I get them.

I sure which they were open for business tonight , I wanna work.
ChachaChinging is addicting !! oh my ,,,,, somebody come take me away.

I'm back in - just did my first training of the night!

Good luck to everyone Cha Cha-ing tonight!! :cool1:

So you got me...if they don't get this fixed I am done with it...I have been on for a couple of hours tonight and all I am getting are training sessions that pop up these errors...not worth my time!

okay..just new to this! Started this afternoon.

The first trainee session my instructor basically, said the site is having major problems..try again later

I just finished doing a search for a very nice instructor...and i think it went very well. She told me to end the search, which i did.

It still says on my profile, 0 searches? Does training searches count.

i have been waiting for a second training session, but no luck? How often can I expect to do a search?

Help, a newbie start please!

I've been signed in , but all I see is Application Error ,, no profile page for me tonight

Still getting trainings and searches though ,, sure hope I'm getting credit for them

I am not getting any training sessions..what is going on???

What am I doing wrong??? I need to get these training sessions..

I think we are all getting these messages. All we can do is wait until it's fixed. Everyone is frustrated but we have to remember that ChaCha is still in the Alpha stage. We are not even in Beta - Experimental stage yet.

I did 2 trainings last night where the trainers weren't able to rate me. Their systems wouldn't let them for some reason. They were so nice though - one even tried training me again a few times (just had me send her a link to something so it would let her rate me) but still nothing. So, those searches, while they counted as searches, never got rated. :(

I do have a question, and it's maybe because I am not very computer savvy. But what is the difference between Beta and Alpha? :confused3

Alpha means it is in the Experimental stage (or what I call the baby stage). Beta is the Testing stage.

I found a more detailed explanation, so here it is:

In the first phase of alpha testing, developers test the software using white box techniques. Additional inspection is then performed using black box or grey box techniques. This is usually done by a dedicated testing team. This is often known as the second stage of alpha testing.

Once the alpha phase is complete, development enters the beta phase. Versions of the software, known as beta versions, are released to a limited audience outside of the company. The software is released to groups of people so that further testing can ensure the product has few faults or bugs. Sometimes, beta-versions are made available to the open public to increase the feedback field to a maximal number of future users.

Testing during the beta phase, informally called beta testing, is generally constrained to black box techniques although a core of test engineers are likely to continue with white box testing in parallel to the beta tests. Thus the term beta test can refer to the stage of the software—closer to release than being "in alpha"—or it can refer to the particular group and process being done at that stage. So a tester might be continuing to work in white box testing while the software is "in beta" (a stage) but he or she would then not be part of "the beta test" (group/activity)

wow...great answer..i hope you are a chacha guide!

i hope it works tonight, when I get home! Was getting frustrated last night!
