just want to share our recent dining experience at the following locations during our recent trip 7/28-8/2:

Disclaimer: we are from North NJ and are 30 minute away from NYC. We are blessed with a wide variety of good food back home.

Morimoto Asia: it was a quick meal! It only took us 35 minutes from start to finish. My kids love the origami activity. Our waiter was Steve. He was nice but did something which I thought was kinda strange. My DH ordered the spicy pork ramen. But he was served with a regular pork ramen. DH didn’t bother to change it since it was not bad. A minute after the ramen was served, Steve came to our table asking if we wanted chilly sauce. He also acknowledged that DH ordered the spicy one but since we shared our food with kids, he thought it might be better to serve us the regular version with chilly sauce on the side..... I appreciate his thoughtfulness but find it kinda strange.... We ordered the pork bao, buribap, and some sushi. They were all good.

Landscape of Flavor at AOA: we stayed at Pop but we went to AOA for dinner one night for better variety of food. We got the make your own salad, curry chicken with rice and fish with rice. Taste wise... it’s not bad...

California Grill: We got two sushi, two appetizers and two entre (sea bass and pork). Food was delicious. Service was good. But it would be a one time deal for me.

Satuli Canteen at AK: it’s deiniftely a great QS, probably the best, on WDW property. We got the beef rice bowl, cheeseburger bao and tofu salad. Love the food and love the price tag. Love the seating area.

Skipper Cantenn at MK: love the humor jokes told by our waiter. The place was so empty though. We ordered charsui pork, spicy Thai noodle, noodle salad, tempura shrimp app. The sauce for charsui was too sweet for us. Thai noodle was indeed spicy. Enjoy the tempura shrimp and the noodle salad. The meal took us only 45 minutes from arrival to end.

50’s Prime time at DHS: we were walk-in at 11:30am. We only waited for 20 minutes for our table. Our server was Uncle Tim. He told some jokes at the beginning but that was it. He didn’t put on too much of the act with other tables he waited. But I did see other waiters acting all out. Food was good. We had Caesar salad, fried chicken and pot pie.

That’s it folks!!!

Thanks for your thoughts. Did you know that there is a Dining Review sub Forum for these rev on the Restaurant Forum? This may get moved

Didn’t know about the sub forum. I would not mind if this got moved. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The price tag??:P LOL!
There is actually nothing that I didn’t like. It was an experience that I just need to enjoy once and be satisfied.

Normally short reviews like yours are fine here. It is the really long ones with food pictures or a lot of details that are in the sub-forum.

Thanks for the information. These were some of the restaurants we are planning on going to, so it was timely!

Why was the C Grill a "one time" deal?

We have an ADR @ Skippers Canteen, would you go back there, and what would you recommend? Love your screen name, are you a Greek grandma?

Just because I can get great food back home in NJ/ NYC for a lot less. Please don’t get me wrong... the food at CG is good and the view is great but I only need to go there once. I would like to try Mousier Paul or Citricos next time if I want to pamper my tastebuds.

Skipper Canteen is a good table service restaurant in MK. My family are not fans of burgers and pizza. We prefer Asian style custom— Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian and Thai, which are the type of food offered at SC. So we would go back if we want to go to a table service restaurant in MK. We enjoyed the tempura shrimp appetizer (not on menu) and the noodle salad. The charsui pork was ok. We will ask to have the red sauce on the side instead of on the dish... too sweet for my family’s taste. We like the jokes told by our skipper, just the right amount of jokes. Hope you will enjoy ur meal there!
