is there a dress code for california grill. must men wear long pants or are guests wearing shorts
I just went last week, and there was a sign on the desk about not wearing bathing suits/cover ups. Otherwise, I think you're good to go.
But please take off your baseball cap.I just went last week, and there was a sign on the desk about not wearing bathing suits/cover ups. Otherwise, I think you're good to go.

ADMINS - can we PLEASE get a Sticky on "REAL SIGNATURE RESTAURANT DRESS CODE". Gotta be the 1000th question I have seen on this.
OK - in the interim?
1) CLEAN Park attire is just fine. It's DISNEY. They get this.
2) It is very RARE for a Sig to kill children, even if they trip Servers. Your dear child will be FINE. The Servers are VERY GOOD at dodging little feet.
3) PLEASE - avoid T shirts that say "Children - not just for breakfast anymore". Or any clothing that just says you wish Society, as a whole, to
DIE in a bloodbath.
Folks? This is fairly easy. Being in a Fine PUBLIC Restaurant? Just don't act like you WANT that really good Manager to ask you to leave?.
They HATE to do this. It only occurs when they have a serious disruption, that affects other guests. PLEASE - don't be that guy
.
All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.
I agree it's a fairly common question. Perhaps a "sticky" thread might be a good idea. But I don't see how belittling the poster who asks a question accomplishes anything. Part of what I love about these boards is the ability to share knowledge and experiences and help plan trips. I am happy to answer a question 20x or even 150x or more if it helps people plan their trips. This is my favorite place on earth and if I can help anyone else with their visit I'm thrilled to do it.
To the OP:
There is a stated dress code at California Grill (see below). Most reports will tell you they aren't incredibly strict other than tanks on men and hats. I dined there last week and there were several gentlemen with collared polo shirts and shorts that were just fine. I hope you visit and enjoy!!
Men must wear khakis, slacks or dress shorts and collared shirts. Jeans may be worn if in good condition. Sport coats are optional.
Women must wear Capri pants, skirts, dresses or dress shorts. Jeans may be worn if in good condition.
Not permitted are tank tops, flip-flops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, hats for gentlemen, cut-offs, torn clothing and t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics.
REALLY. How Rude.(Face Palm on head)....

Park attire? Evidently Disney has taken notice of what 'murica looks like while touring the parks these days. CG management feeling compelled to state that swimsuits aren't acceptable really speaks to how poorly people self-regulate.
Yea, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was going to ask what the hell this guy is talking about.REALLY. How Rude.
