So we have an ADR for the CG on our next trip and I am wondering about the dress code?

Normally I love a good excuse to get dresssed up but not when in Florida..... and it seems a bit daft to take one 'posh' outfit that will only get worn once :confused3 as I just love slobbing out whilst away :lmao:

Will jeans be ok? smart jeans that is? More worried about DH tbh as he would usually only take trainers and crocs with him :confused3

Thoughts from anyone who has dined there please??

Thanks.

Ali :goodvibes

Officially the dress code / rules are:

•Dress Code Guidelines:
Men: Khakis, slacks, jeans, dress shorts, collared shirts. Sport coats are optional.
Ladies: Capris, skirts, dresses, jeans, dress shorts.

Not permitted in dining room: Tank tops, swimwear, hats for gentleman, cut offs, or torn clothing. While T-shirts are now allowed, the policy remains that T-shirts with offensive language or graphics are not acceptable.

I also have an ADR there next trip, but i'm the opposite and i can't wait to get all dressed up for a lovely meal and evening :lovestruc

I am not one for dressing up, I went in a pair of trousers and shirt(can't remember if I wore a tie or not), I was very suprised how casual many people were, 2 men sat next to me in shorts.
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in within the guidelines.

I usually wear a dress (lightweight one that folds small in the case!) and DH wears a shirt & 3/4 trousers with trainers :thumbsup2

We always go smart to CG and get cross when you see people not making any effort when they are asked to turn up smart casual. We have seen people in very scruffy outfits - not usual park attire - I mean really scruffy

Bear in mind that they could refuse people as they have to go from the 2nd floor by lift to the restaurant - although I am sure they have never done this. It is such a lovely place to go that it is nice to dress up anyway:thumbsup2

I also wonder whether what you wear gets you the better tables - we have sat at a window table everytime and have been smart:thumbsup2

Personally I would rather dress up at night for dinner so I normally pack at least two dresses and one pair of sandals that go with both(gladiator style that pack flat not ones with heels).

DH takes lightweight linen trousers and a couple of shirts and he has loafer type trainers that he wears or his smarter merrells.

We went to CG last year for the first time and noticed most people were in the kahki trouser/shirt for men and either a dress or dress trousers and smart top for women. Never saw any men in shorts.

We went here on our last trip. Loved it!!! (DH who doesn't really make requests asked me to make an ADR to go back when we go in aug:rolleyes1)

We both "dressed" for dinner - I had lovely strapless dress & DH in linen trousers & a shirt (obviously no tie :rotfl:). I think we would have been underdressed in anything less - everyone appeared to have made an effort & dressed up.

We do like "dressing" for a nice dinner when on holiday... But if we eat at the Ale House it's shorts & t-shirts, not dress & linen trousers!

Please bring a cardi as the aircon seemed to be turned down quite low.

You'll havea fab time
