ADR's all in tact 'cept one. With PI closing right before we go, plans needed to be changed. We were originally going to eat at Cap 'n Jacks (hubby choice) but now we going to eat in the world, and maybe go to the boardwalk... this is our "date" night:thumbsup2 . Coral Reef was his first suggestion and there were no adr's left. Soooooo, Chefs de France is what we decided. What do you know about it? What do you think. What should we order? Help!!!!

Il n'est pas tout ce que il serait!

Its not fabulous, but its good. I personally dont like the menu, but if you can find something that appeals to you, go for it....

Atmosphere is very nice there..very french!

(You can google "Le Chefs de France Menu" and it will come up.)

Have had two great meals there, with a late lunch being one of the best meals on property to date.

Had tasty food and good service.

Onion soup and Escargot - fabulous! Move on from there if anything else looks good to you.

Here is a link to the menu

We ate there last fall and really enjoyed the dinner overall. We ordered all kinds of things and shared a lot and nearly all of them got a few thumbs up:

flatbreads (tasty and really big portions!)
escargot (my oldest and my husband shared these)
cheese plate (very good!)
lobster bisque (my oldest loved it!)
onion soup (not the best I have had but excellent)
house salad (great)
goat cheese salad (also great!)
the chicken/potatoes/tomato dinner (delicious)
the beef/potatos/green beans (delicious)

We ordered several desserts and they were all just wonderful -
creme brulee
blueberry clafoutis
chocolate tart
asstd. sorbets

The only thing that did not go over well was the short ribs/polenta. But I don't regret ordering it - I like to try new things!

The atmosphere was great and I think it is a nice choice for a *date*, especially if you want to hit the Boardwalk afterwards.

and an opinion, I ate there this past March for dinner, and it was probably one of the worst meals I have had in WDW in a long time. There was definitely something lacking in their kitchen that night... food was ill prepared, I am talking....cheese plate with frozen cheese, goat cheese should be served room temperature, just bad....food terribly undercooked, chicken, blech, and our server was just not there.. We kept looking for her, when we finally got her, she sort of shrugged her shoulders at our complaints.. we did not eat the food..

Not good is what I give this restaurant and I will not go back. I hope you have a better meal than we did and this is one time I did tip way less than 20%. Never again.

We did Chefs for New Years Eve last year. We actually only picked this restaurant because it was one of the only ones available at the time we wanted - otherwise we would have skipped it. But we were pleasantly surprised!! We loved the food, and got a table right near the window which was nice. It was a great time!! I would go back!! :thumbsup2

and it was our best meal on property this past trip. Service was also top notch. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it at all.

DH and I ate there in March/April and it was out of this world! Full review and a ton of pics are in my signature link

Thanks for the reviews. This will be our only night without kids, so I hope it goes well...we need a little break or dad and the teen will drive me crazy, driving each other crazy if ya know what I mean.:headache:

Je pense que Le Chefs de France est tres mal. (Aka I think it's really bad...really really bad.) I'd tell you what the food tastes like in french, b/c it wouldn't get picked up in the screening, but it would be innappropriate...inappropriate, but very true. Don't do it. If you need to, get counter service somewhere else.
