I was poking around on the DFTW site looking at seating options, and I was wondering if anyone knows if the wooden folding chairs are less expensive than the fabric covered chairs? I like the look of the bows on both, but like the simplicity of the folding chairs.

Also, if we have a couple of larger floral arrangements at the ceremony, will Disney move them to the reception?

Thanks! :goodvibes

Yes, they will transfer the ceremony decor to the reception for a move fee. I am having my ceremony vases set at the tables as centerpieces. :thumbsup2

The wooden folding chairs are cheaper than the cost of chair covers for the standard chairs (and way cheaper than Chiavari chairs). However, they require a move fee that varies by site and may negate any savings on the price of chair covers.

If your ceremony will be at Sea Breeze Point, the standard plastic chairs there *look* like wooden folding chairs, if that helps any. :thumbsup2

Thanks! We're actually going to have our VR ceremony on Commander's Terrace at the GF, so we'll have to determine what chair option works best.

So only the covered chairs don't require the move fee, and the wooden and Chiavari chairs do?

The chair covers don't require a move fee bc they are using the chairs already at the venue, most of the time they are horribly ugly convention chairs.

The move fee for chivari chairs is something like $200, that's a lot!

LOL -- no wonder they need to dress them up! Yeah, those Chiavari chairs are really nice, but I don't think I can justify that kind of a move fee!

I know there was a picture of the standard chairs for Seabreeze. Does anyone have that or know where it is? I can't find it for the life of me.

If anyone is looking to rent chiavari chairs for less, call Ana from A Chair Affair, they have a special going on, $7.50 per chair.
