Ceremony Locations...Please Help

Hey everyone.
So I have a long while to go..like 3 years lol but I'm such a planning freak that I'm already planning my wedding to my DBF. We were going to do an Escape with just the two of us but the other day he said he would consider doing a Wishes wedding with everyone! So besides being super excited I am now starting to wonder about all the possible locations for the ceremony. I know there is a small list on disneyweddings.com but I've seen while lurking the boards that there are other places, like LurkyLoo's morocco wedding which is one of the places I like the best.

So I was hoping you all could tell me some places, and show me pics if you have any of your or someone elses wedding there.

There are a lot more sites than they advertise, and it's kind of up to you to find out about them. Basically, except for the Magic Kingdom, which has just one ceremony site, you can ask about having your wedding any number of places. They like to steer you toward the usual spots because they are easier to work with, but it never hurts to ask.

Just about any country in Epcot's World Showcase is available (early-morning ceremony time). And I bet if you really really wanted to do something in the shuttered Wonders of Life Pavilion at Epcot you could. There's Living Seas Salon, of course, and Bistro de Paris. I think it'd be cool to do a ceremony in Canada, but I've never seen one...

There are locations in Animal Kingdom (Maharajah Jungle Trek, Festival of the Lion King, Tusker House) and Disney's Hollywood Studios (Animation Building, Great Movie Ride & Courtyard, Brown Derby, Muppets Courtyard) that have been used (late evening, after the park closes) but they may not all be available anymore.

There are a few alternative sites on the various lawns around BoardWalk Inn.... let's see... people have parties at Shipwreck Beach in front of the Yacht & Beach Club, and there was at least one wedding on the beach by the Wedding Pavilion. Sometimes people ask about doing a ceremony on the Arusha Savanna at Animal Kingdom Lodge, but word is they had to discontinue using that location cuz of the animal smell or something.

Thank you soo much Lurkyloo I knew that you would be one of the first to respond! I am thinking that I would like to do my ceremony somewhere in Epcot so that's like 8ish? Then a brunch somewhere (no ideas of where) then let everyone go wherever and then meet later for the reception and dessert party for Illuminations. I know this is going to cost $$$$$$ but my parents are going to be paying and I'm already saving too!

Anyone else have any other ideas? How about for the brunch?

Also anyone know anything about the Mad Hatter Tea Party for the Bridesmaids?

How many people are you having? The Attic is a great place for a small group but there are tons of other places to have a reception. Some girls have had them in the Living Seas, Whitehall room at the Floridian, there are banquet rooms in the Boardwalk and Floridian, the contemporary has private banquet rooms that overlook the Magic Kingdom.

Some websites you may want to check out are www.mouseweddings.com, www.magicalkingdoms.com

They will give you pictures and ideas for ceremony and reception locations.

THe Mad Hatter Tea Party is pretty expensive. I think the mouseweddings website discusses it. I have heard it can be around $10,000.00.

You can have a tea party at the Gardenview room at the Grand Floridian. The prices and menu are listed on the magicalkingdoms website.

Epcot ceremonies are at 9am. After ours, we took a boat to the BoardWalk Inn and had our reception at the Attic. It has a max of 50 people though.

Atlantic Dance Hall is also on the Boardwalk and holds a lot more people. American Adventure Parlor is another venue that only holds 50, but it's right there in the America Pavilion at Epcot, which is convenient. Oh, and there's Ariel's at the Beach Club - it holds 80, but it may be turned back into a restaurant by the time of your wedding.

Carrie I love your pictures of the Attic. I just want to say that I am so happy you sold me on the Attic!!!! You were totally right and it is beautiful in person!

I forgot about AAR and the Parlor too. They look really nice for a brunch!

Thanks for the pictures. I have seen pics of the Atlantic Dance Hall and I think it looks really cool. When you have your wedding in the morning is it weird to do the reception at night? I was thinking doing the reception in the morning, brunch, then dinner reception and dessert party. Does everyone just do thei own thing in between??

That's an interesting idea - almost like having two receptions. I wonder if Disney would let you do it that way. Maybe a casual brunch in a restaurant, a break, and then the formal reception and DP?

We had a 6-hour break between brunch and our dessert party, and it was fabulous. Some people went to the parks, some took naps, some swam... we spent a few hours talking about all the fun we had and comparing notes, and then we took a nap! In the evening we had room service dinner and met everyone at the Dessert Party. It was so nice to have that to look forward to after the reception.
