Hi guys... just wondering if you can have your ceremony at the Polynesian? I recall seeing a wedding on the hilltop overlooking the lagoon and MK castle one evening... we are having a custom wedding with approx. 75 guests... Just wondering.... Also, who here has had their receptions at Ariel's? What did you think of it? So far, it seems to be the most reasonable as far as pricing goes... we want to have Illuminations dessert reception and we're trying not to go too far over the $100/person min. We are getting married on Sat. evening. I am soooooooooooo excited!! Our engagement party is next weekend and it just makes it all that more real. :goodvibes

Sunset Pointe, at the Polynesian, is unfortunately for intimate weddings only. I guess they can't fit many guests up there.

There may be some other location at the Polynesian that you can talk DFTW into letting you having.

havent had the wedding yet, its a custom ftw this march at the yacht club wedding gazebo  followed by our prereception at martha's vineyard & our sit down dinner & reception at ariels (which is just gorgeous) with an illuminations dp at uk lower that night. i have some photos from our site visit if you want i will pm. also make sure to check out fantasia sam's wedding photos & trip report, she had her reception at ariels & was part of the reason we choose ariels as her wedding was simply beautiful.

best of luck with your plans!

My daughter and son-in-law's ceremony was at Sunset Pointe at the Polynesian. They had 73 guests - there were chairs set up on one side of the lawn (the other side has a drop). There was plenty of room and it's a beautiful site.

Their reception was also at the Polynesian - in the Tangaroa Terrace (was a restaurant years ago). I don't think either of these sites was listed in the information Fairy Tale Weddings sent - but both were available for custom weddings at the time (May 2001).

Twojo21 if you could pm me the pics I would sooooooooooo appreciate it... we are looking at Ariel's as a possibility for the reception...

Thanks so much for your feedback... I'll ask when I talk to someone at DFTW.

Keep smiling!! :teeth:
