Ceremony and reception at Canada Terrace?

We are doing a vow renewal in October at the Canada Terrace venue. Because it is a renewal, it is going to be very short and sweert (maybe 15 minutes) and that is it. We will not be walking down an isle, no wedding dress....nothing like that. We currently have ADH for our brunch but we love the Canada area SO much.

#1. I am having a really hard time with the several thousand it is going to cost to have a 15 minute ceremony and then leave.

#2. We would love to enjoy that area for longer and have the bruch there.

So is this possible? Has anyone ever done this?

Yes, Canada Terrace is also available for receptions. the only thing would be the logistics of setting up for your reception in a way that doesn't conflict with your ceremony. Usually if you hold both in the same place, everyone moves someplace else for a cocktail hour to give them time to set up. If you're not too concerend with having the traditional trappings of a ceremony, though, maybe the site could be already set up for the reception (in the area out toward the front of the pavilion and down the street) and you could do your ceremony at the back near the waterfall.

Are you escape or wishes? If you're escape I don't think it would be too hard to have your cake and champaign reception in the same location. It's pretty low-key.

We are Wishes but I did hear back from the planner and she said it was no problem. We might even nix the ceremony all-together and just give speeches before brunch. I was stressing about the ceremony because it all just seemed over the top, so I am excited that we can have our brunch there and have it be really casual.
