Sure appears that way! But it just adds fuel to the fire of super compenstated corperate execs vs. the "little" guy. The article said the bonus was the equivelent of each Goldman employee getting $622,000. That would be a nice bonus for everyone! Even HALF!!

The previous record was probably held by the CEO of the United Healthcare guy in MN. The government became very interested in his $55 million+ salary/bonus/stock options in the past few months and he has since lost his job. I don't have an issue with executives getting bonuses but the outrageous ones are a little over the top. I know most people think that executives do nothing but that isn't always the case. Also, everyone has the opportunity to achieve that level, no, not everyone will, but the opportunity is there and those that do achieve that level should be rewarded.

Also, how is this different then the multi-million dollar salaries for sports figures?????

I read somewhere that most of their employees got substantial bonuses as well, so it's not just the CEO reaping the rewards of their success this year.
