Centerpiece ideas

Hey buds,

I need your creativity. I've been asked to make a centerpiece for a benefit concert/auction for Mercy Corp. I want to do something different than the usual flower centerpiece.

I was thinking of lucky bamboo in a vase with a Beta fish also in the vase (thanks Mommytotwo & Deb).

Anyone have any other ideas?

A local store in our town sells OASIS in an almost powder form in yellow, limegreen, pink and purple. Soak it and squish it in any kind of container, they were using clear glass. They were doing the most awesome center pieces using the oasis as part of the project.. wish I had pictures to show you.
