HELP!! Our pack's Blue & Gold dinner is next weekend, the theme is "Saturday Night Fever" and I've got to come up w/2 centerpiece for my 8 & 9 YO boys to make. Another den is already making disco glitter balls, so that idea's already taken.

TIA!
Brenda

Ahhh... good ol Blue & Gold! I hosted my share.

The immediate bulb that went off in my head was to make a "tiled" floor, like the dance floor from the movie.
Find a clipart of John Travolta in "the suit" and mount on cardboard, stand him in middle of floor.
Inexpensive option for floor would be an 8x10 cheap black frame, remove the glass and glue in mosaic tiles, or cut out colored paper in to squares boys either glue them down or Mod Podge them!
I'm sure I'll come up with another one... Kathy

Good ole BLue & Gold----we always stuck with Scouting themes in the colors so it was pretty wide open.

Hmm...Saturday Night Fever, what about disco lights? Paint empty cans black, punch a hole in them and mount on a black dowel poked into some styrofoam squares. Fill the can with a bunch of colored cellophane or tissue paper. If memory serves I think that might also serve as a requirement for one of the Cub achievements. Don't ask me which level though - WAY TOO long ago! :rotfl:
