Are Atkins people not supposed to have cellulose?
I tried looking it up in the book, but I couldn't find anything on Cellulose. I thought someone here might have more info on this.
Thanks!

I have not heard either way...What is it, and what does it do?

I think it's just a fiber filler. I don't think it will sabotage your Atkins efforts.

I found this info:

Cellulose is made of repeat units of the monomer glucose. This is the same glucose which your body metabolizes in order to live, but you can't digest it in the form of cellulose. Because cellulose is built out of a sugar monomer, it is called a polysaccharide.

Thanks for the info Katholyn. I was wondering if that was knocking me out of ketosis, hmmm would having too much splenda? That's the only thing I can think of other than the vitamins. I had a couple of beige testings, but then it was back to purple. I was just trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Are you eating enough fat, Lynn, that has an effect on your ketosis too, I think.
