I'm sure the Synch does play mp3's well, but how's its battery life while playing mp3's? and how is the interface to play them?
The core of OS X is there though, you don't need the entire operating system that the Macs use.
I hate Windows Mobile OS, it's clunky.

I did read, but creating a candybar style phone with a touchscreen isn't what I would call copying. And frankly I care more about how the software works, which is what that link provides.
8 GB nonexpandable = enough memory for me. I really don't feel like messing with microSD cards or regular size SD cards if applicable.

Most new phones are only available through one provider at first, for example the RAZR was only available through one provider when it first came out. Plus you will probably be able to buy an unlocked one and slip in a sim card from another provider.
