Cell phones are too stinking expensive!

Not a problem, we are considering doing without a cell. Our old (5 yrs.?) prepaid cell died. We took it to the store and had them rescind the phone no., but they would not deactivate the phone until we go 4 months with no service. Not a problem! We own the phone, and I will happily take a sledgehammer to it!

I am thining about Straight Talk it is by tracfone and uses Verizon towers it would save me about $160. a month plus we would get more service all three phones would have internet unlimited internet, unlimited text and unlimited minutes, I posted about it earlier but my DH has an iPhone and doesn't want to give it up I may change anyway??!!!??

Great question! We are currently looking at prepaid cell as well.

For those of you who has tracfone, how much do they charge per txt?
I can't seem to find the answer on their website.

As stated previously, it depends on the phone you purchase. We have two that receive free and .3 of a minute to send. Our third ( camera phone) is .3 of a minute to both send and receive.

I've had a T-Mobile prepaid phone for six years and love it! Mine is a basic phone and I have chosen not to upgrade it, as I wouldn't use it.

One thing I like about T-Mobile is that once you pay $100 (or it was--it might be more now), you only have to add $10 per year to roll over your remaining minutes and keep your phone active. If I'm graveling quite a bit, I may spend $50 to $100 in a year, but other times that $10 added to remaining minutes is more than enough for the next 12 months! *LOL*

BTW, I don't text. I can--I just can't be bothered!
