cell phone tunes

If Dan is like me, it's not the Disney tones that bother me, it's the overall barrage of different tones. For instance, my son's ballgame has practically turned into American Bandstand when the cell phones start ringing. :p Some people seem to think it is cute to let the whole 4 minute song play before answering it.

That's why I have mine to the boring classic ring! I KNOW it's mine because no one else uses that ring tone. ;)

MIne is the boring ring too, but I never have it on unless I want to use it. Just don't keep it on all the time. Really irritates me when cell phones ring when I am at a restaurant etc. The other day I was at a conference and the speaker specifically asked that all phones and pagers be either turned off or set to vibrate. No less than three different 'items' rang out during the first part of the speaker's presentation! NOw that is very rude. Ticks me off in a movie too, even worse when people keep TALKING while sitting in the movie. sigh.

I purchased a cell phone with a compose feature so that I could put in whatever I wanted. I've changed them out, since I've got five slots, but right now I've got
Main Street Electrical Parade (my store's assigned tone)
Imagination (DH's, the Figment fan, assigned tone)
Laughing Place (my friend Heather, the Splash fan's tone)
Lord of the Dance (for two friends)
and IllumiNations for everyone else. I've been figuring out the music by Pin Central and probably will change one to that!

My cell provider, T-Mobile, offers Disney Downloads, but I wasn't impressed with the one I got. If I've got the sheet music, I can program easily, otherwise, it takes a little effort for me!

I have the compose feature as well, where can I get a formula to put in in order to get the tunes? I don't mind keying them in instead of downloading.

I have a Nokia 3390 and the way to figure it out is this:
The scale is
1-c
2-d
3-e
4-f
5-g
6-a
7-b

to make a note sharp, you'll hit the # sign
to change octaves, you'll hit the * sign

8 changes to a shorter note
9 changes to a longer note

I don't know if this will work for your phone, but it can't hurt to try!

Yes, as Pete's Mom said. I personally, just like a simple ring, LOL. With mine not able to do a simple ring, I have it set permanently to vibrate. Upside is I never have to remember to turn it off or reset it in meetings, etc, and, if in a noisier environment, I most often will not miss a call. Just me.

I will give this a try, but do you know where I can find the "sheet music" to the Disney songs?

Thanks!

Hal Leonard publishes most of the stuff. I've been getting the compilation books at DtD, but I recently found some at Borders.
