Does anyone have a legitimate website to download free ringtones?

I guess I'm late to the party but I've never downloaded any before. However my new phone has a *really* lousy selection and my cheap self just hates to pay $2.50 each from AT&T.

Thanks!

I use phonezoo.com, upload my own music that I own and make my own tones. It's free and very easy, you just follow the directions and have the tone sent to your phone via text, then you set it as a ring tone.

my kids use myxer without a problem. I make my own and just transfer to the micro sd card in my phone.

I've used both phonezoo and myxer.com and had great luck with both. No spam and no problem downloading pics, ringtones or games...

DD18 and DS19 use myxer but I used phonezoo this week to get me a new monorail ring tone. I love that thing and it was super easy to get it!!

I cant believe this is all free. I feel like such a jerk for spending the $ on them all this time.:lmao:

I just tried to download Wishes on myxer--where she says, "Starlight, star bright, first star I see tonight, etc......" and then I had to enter my cell phone number & phone type. After I did that, it said the download was restricted & now I can't find ANY Disney World ringtones :sad1:

This is a little OT, but I have a related ?. When you buy a ringtone, that's a one time only fee, right? Not a monthly fee?

A couple of years ago I tried to get a ringtone from a site I read about on the Dis and our computer was infected with spyware after visiting that site. I don't remember which site it was, but I promised dh that I'd never try to get a free ring tone again. : ( I hope yours will work OK.

I've never had any problems with viruses after using Phonezoo, it uses MY own music so no worries about copyrights either. :)

To answer your question tho, once you buy a ringtone it's yours, you only have to pay monthly for ringback tones.

do you have a SD/microSD card? You should be able to download onto your pc and transfer that way. Or you can try to email/text it to your phone as an attachment.

I think it was going to text/e-mail it to my phone. Is that not what you guys do? FYI--I don't actually have the "Wishes" song myself. I thought I could just download the ringtone for free w/out having the cd. Is that okay, or would that be considered stealing?? I don't want to steal!! :confused3

If your phone will take just simple MP3 files, I found a program called MP3 Knife. Can't remember where I got it i just googled and found it, very small file. It will allow you to take any mp3 and just cut out which parts you want and resave it, very simple program.
