Cell phone ringtones

I think it was going to text/e-mail it to my phone. Is that not what you guys do? FYI--I don't actually have the "Wishes" song myself. I thought I could just download the ringtone for free w/out having the cd. Is that okay, or would that be considered stealing?? I don't want to steal!! :confused3

It should have sent it to your phone but for some reason it didn't. These are just work arounds that I would try. The SD card would take the internet sending to your phone out of it. Personally I find that easier, but that is me.

I am not entirely sure of the legality of it. Quite honestly, it's a snippet. You could go to itunes, amazon or some other site to pay for and download the song and edit it for a lot less than what some of these places charge for ringtones. With the way the RIAA is, if it was that big of a deal they would be all over it.

What am I doing wrong? Here are my steps on MYXER....
-I've chosen "Wishes-Wishes Will Come True" by Teleclashter
-I click on "GET RINGTONE"
-It makes me enter my phone number
-Gives me this message: Welcome Verizon Wireless User!
Myxer has the world's largest collection of downloads for users with any phone. However, the item you've selected is not approved by Verizon Wireless to download from Myxer. We have a huge selection of Verizon Wireless content at Myxer, just click the "Continue Browsing" button below to see our catalog for Verizon Wireless users. Now that we know you, we'll make sure that you always see these items when you're at Myxer. AND REMEMBER, you always have the option of creating ringtones from ANY .mp3 or audio file you have on your computer with our fast and free Make Your Own tool!

So, I can't do it! Now, if I change my settings, where I DON'T allow cookies, this happens:
-I click on "GET RINGTONE"
-It makes me enter my phone number
-Then it asks for my "Carrier"

I know if I enter Verizon Wireless, it will deny my access to that ringtone! How do I skip this step? TIA!!!

I have used phonezoo in the past and have not had any probelms. Very easy to use and it was FREE!!!

Can you do this:
http://support.myxer.com/2009/05/28...s-without-accessing-the-internet-on-my-phone/

I just tried with mine and I type in my cell number and then I get the option to choose carrier but under those are three other options, middle being "download to your pc." Try that and see if you can send it as an attachment. Or if you have the SD/Micro SD card, just pop it on there.

I am clueless about tech stuff...I have a motorola tracfone...I just have a basic ring can I download a ringtone from these sites too. thanks

You could try saving it to your computer and then getting a data cable. I use a program called bitpim. I connect the phone to the computer and just transfer the ringtone to the phone via the cable.
