My family has an ATT family plan with unlimited text right now. I was thinking about getting the iphone or another smart phone. I've been comparing plans and phones. I came across Sprint's Everything Data - with Any Mobile, Anytime plan, and it looks pretty good. It would cost so much with ATT to get what Sprint offers. I've followed several threads on here about iphone/smart phones. The iphone seems really cool, but I don't know if I want to spend that much per month. Anybody have experience with sprint or the Everything Data plan? Any advice? We have 5 people on our plan. TIA

we have it now. we get 1500 minutes between the 5 phones and they just changed the terms on the minutes, last month we only used 278. the new month starts nov 7. now all calls to cells (doesn't matter what provider) are free, calls after 7pm and weekends are free. we have the data, for all 5 phones and we get a discount because my husband indirectly works for Ford. We get all this for under $180/mo. Unlimited text, unlimited data. We have two phones with insurance ($7 ea/mo).

I would say to invest in the good phones upfront though. Kids have the rumors and they stink, awful. We've taken them back in and I think it costs us $35 to replace them but I think we have done it 4 times now. Hubby had an instinct. He could not sync it with his work email so he had to switch to the blackberry (can't remember which one) but he loves that. I have the htc touch, stay away from it. It's awful. I am not a touch screen person though. I need to check email (it does this easily) and coordinate a calendar for three active boys. It does a lot of things really well except be a phone.

We don't have issues with service. I know of one area that we rarely go to that would be problematic. I cannot use my phone inside the house though. I have not figured that out. I can use it outside. Other cells work fine in the house but they are all flip phones, various providers (even sprint before we all got on this plan).

We also have the everything data plan 2 phones 1500 mins and spend about $160 per month including the taxes, fees, etc. I have no complaints about the service, dropped calls etc. I have a rumor phone-it is just okay, my dh has a flip phone it breaks every other week & it is supposed to be the "rugged" workman type of phone.

I am hoping they offer some type of smart phone as I really like the price and the service.

$30 per month is the going standard price range for smart phone data plans from the big carriers.

We have that plan and are very happy with it. With the Anytime Mobile minutes, we use next to no minutes - and I spend quite a bit of time on my cell phone.

Just confirming that with Sprint, the family share data plan is available for all of the phones on the plan. Our family has 3 HTC Hero with the Everything data, text, mobile to mobile, and 1500 minutes per month. We looked at the iphone, but couldn't justify the cost paying for individual data plans per phone.

My dh and I both have the data plans on our phones (we both have unlimited data) and are on the 1500 min everything share plan.
