I am looking for a cell phone that is good for texting with a good keyboard, but also a phone that's not too complicated.

It can be an older phone. I'm not opposed to buying refurbished. All the ones I look at seem to have terrible reviews.

Do you love your phone? Tell me about it!

I'll give you a negative on the Nokia E71x. It is a smartphone, so data plan would need to be included. I love it, because I love the ease of use of a Nokia, but the keyboard takes some getting used to. But it took me a good 5-6 months before I could type on it without hitting the backspace every other key.

Now if you're only looking at texting, no web browsing or other functions. I have to say the easiest texting is using a regular old style phone with predictive text. I could go a mile a minute on that when sending messages. I was also good enough to not have to look at the keys. I'm pretty good with my qwerty keys, but if I'm not looking my fingers get lost on the keys.

I have also used an HTC slider phone, so the keyboard is sideways, and it's a bit easier to type with. But a few keys are a little different than mine, so I sometimes mess up on it.

I love blackberries. Each key is individual, so it's much easier to type with. I'd love to have the blackberry torch. But only maybe when it's on the free list, or a refurb is only 20$.

I have a unlocked Nokia E-63 and I love to death. If just looking for a phone texting and phone. Check out Nokia C3 which is prepaid for ATT. Or buy the phone unlocked Nokia.

Att has some excellent prepaid phones out now LG Prime, Samsung A-187, LG Neon 2. If have ATT all do swip sim cards and throw away prepaid one.

T-moblie has the Samsung Graity 3, Nokia Nuron as good phones to.

If have ATT or T-moblie there are GSM phones you can buy unlocked phones from amazon.

check howardforums.com for phone information. I have turn into a phone nut. LOL

Virgin Mobile sells an LG Rumor for $89, no contract. For $25 per month you get unlimited text and data and 300 minutes. They have other phones to choose from too. If you find after a few months its not the phone for you, you're not tied to a phone or contract.
