:worship: I am hoping we can book this trip this year.....last time I was on the computer when my accountant called w/ our bad news about our taxes...no disney that year! Enough said...planning again but my question-

we love the dining plan and was wondering if the disney restaurants and quick service places have gluten free choices? I am not sure it if is worth is for my son to use the dining plan if I can't get him food to eat!

Anyone a celiac and do disney alot and are familiar w/ the food options?

Thanks!!! Hope I will be back here soon celebrating my trip!!:cheer2:

I am gluten intollerant and always eat liek a queen at WDW because they are ahead of the curve on catering to special diets. I eat just as well if not better than my family and I have never gotten sick. If you inform your server about your son's needs the chef will come talk to you and in most cases prepare his meal personally!( They have dedicated fryers, etc... so they understand cross contamination.) This is even the case even at quick serve places. At buffests you will get a "gluten" tour of the buffet from the chef, and probably an offer to prepare something separate for him. They also keep brand name GF brownies, cookies, pizzas you are probably already familiar with on hand. I've also had GF freshly made brownies, waffles, even rolls at dinner! I say YES get the dining plan, note on your reservation you son's needs, and tell the server or cashiers when you order you'll need a gluten free meal for him. Enjoy!

Your son will LOVE WDW. He'll never want to go anywhere else. My kids have been served chicken tenders with fries, mac & cheese, pizza, brownies, cookies, spaghetti, hamburgers on buns and so much more. There are so many kid friendly gluten free options at WDW. I'd say that he'll feel normal, but that's not totally true; he'll feel special due to all the amazing options he'll have and all the special treatment he'll experience.

Definitely take a look through the many, many dining reviews on the disABILITIES! board.

Just an FYI: My kids' favourite is the fried chicken at 50s PTC. Yes, real fried chicken with a good old fashion crunch breadying. Being milk free, they also love their milk free milk shakes. Oh, and the brownie sundae is amazing too.

Oh wow!! 50's ptc is one of our favs, I am so excited about this. We have not been to wdw since he was diagnosed 3 yrs ago and this will make it even more special! I will go tot the disABILITIES board...did not see it as a choice...on my way!!!:cool1:

A friend has gluten intolerance and she did quite well at WDW. You will be fine.
Be sure to visit Babycakes bakery in Downtown Disney. All baked products are gluten free, and vegetarian.

Off topic...
(Don't count on tax refund to pay for Disney trip. Start saving your own money, a little each week.
And for heaven's sake, don't count on a tax refund by giving Uncle Sam too much money all year. Don't turn Uncle Sam into a savings account, so your own saving.
End of personal rant about taxes and savings.)
