There is a new service for diets and check FAQs for that info as well as celiac dining in parks. It is a sticky on the board main page.

This is the WDW special diets page.

that is a celiac trip report for WDW but be warned you may be hungry from the pictures.

This list is a year old but an idea of what you have available. You should look at the various providers to make sure that you approve of them. I cannot have some of Ken's Steakhouse dressings because of soy for example and cannot have Vann's waffles because of soy flour.

That is a list of all the confirmed snacks that people have found on the DDP. Things do change and you have to be careful with sundaes. A regular sundae for about $3.99 is allowed but a special sundae like a brownie sundae is not allowed.

The following shows how they put an icon next to the price of items that are on the DDP as snacks.

They probably will but I am not an expert in under 3 meals.

All WDW run restaurants can and will make celiac friendly meals. Table service restaurants can make almost anything but counter service is more limited in what they can offer. Ask that the fries be cooked in a dedicated fryer.

Check out all them yummy foods they ate. Same response as question 3, yes.

5. Can I have a list of counter service places that can get us foods?
All counter and table service restaurants offer gluten free foods such as hot dogs on gluten free buns, turkey legs, fries, ribs, chips, pickles, fresh fruit, veggies, and cheeseburgers on gluten free buns.

6.We are used to going and getting hotdogs and cracker jacks on main street and watching the parade is this still something we can do ?
YES. They use EnerG brand of buns as well as at times other gluten free baked goods like Vans waffles and Kininick.

7. Oh and the big thing my kids keep asking for is the goofy candy companys make your own treat . would that have anything we can get there ? I heard there is crispy rice treats avaliable would they make us one using that ? Also where are these treat to be found ?

Check with the manager as you need to find out if there is a risk of cross contamination with the make your own treats area. If the crispy rice treats are gluten free then in theory they can. It is Goofy's Candy Company (Co.) and they have lots of goodies and are in Downtown Disney.

Fruit bowl
Yogurt parfait (might be premade, if not ask them to hold the crunchies on top)
applesauce
mickey rice krispie treat
Milkshake
Bottled iced tea
Powerade
juice
milk

If you want to ship stuff to your room you can do that for things like cereal, soy milk, and other gluten free foods. IF you do not have a fridge in your room you can ask for one to store foods because of your allergies related diet. Several local areas deliver and Whole Foods Market has a wide array of gluten free, vegan, kosher, raw, organic, and allergen free foods. It is a taxi ride away. Some people used to resort hop when they could get a box of 6 donuts for one credit and a large juice for one credit that served the whole family but that is the past it seems.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Hey everyone ~

1.We are on the Disney Dinning plan and I am most concerned with snack items .

Do you have specific concerns? I've been on the dining plan several times, and while the selection of gluten free options isn't as diverse as the selection of gluten items - I rarely felt deprived. There are some gluten free brownies available most places that are quite good.

2.Also my daughter is 1 1/2 and me and of course she can not eat the same foods as me will the cheff make her pancakes and me something eles on a buffett even though we do not pay at buffett for her , however she would normal be aloud to eat .
If you are at a buffet, the chef will prepare gluten free foods for her and you can select from the buffet or having something made special for you. At a non-buffet table service if you wanted special gluten free foods for her you would need to pay for them out of pocket or pick something for yourself to share.

3. Will Port Orleans Riverside Counter service be able to provide gluten and wheat free fast food items for me and my daughter ? Like waffles for breadfest , chicken nuggets and frys for lunch or dinner ??
Probably, but there's no guarantee you can get exactly what you want, when you want it. In general the staff will bend over backwards to get you what you'd like. For example - on our last day I had a craving for french toast, but they were out of the gluten free bread. The chef used gluten free rolls, trimmed the crusts and made french toast.

The fries would be baked, not deep fried, if that's relevant to you, because the fryers are shared.

I've known them to be out of gluten free mac and cheese, but it's usually a temporary issue.

4. We are eating at the following places will we be taken care of ? Crystal palace dinner , Story book princess dinner , Cheff mickeys dinner , Ohanas breadfest , Holly wood and vine play and dine , Tonys townsquare .
I've eaten at all of those, and the only one I was displeased with was Hollywood and Vine. I just didn't find that they had much of a selection of gluten free options, and many things that had been gluten free weren't anymore on our most recent visit.

5. Can I have a list of counter service places that can get us foods?
There's -something- gluten free pretty much everywhere. I'm sure Brenda will send you the lists of gluten free foods available in the parks. And every counter service location has a big binder with the ingredients for food items available.

6.We are used to going and getting hotdogs and cracker jacks on main street and watching the parade is this still something we can do ?
Cracker Jack is gluten free (and dairy free, woohoo). There are almost always gluten free hotdog buns at Casey's and Disney hot dogs are gluten free. I don't know offhand if they can do oven fries.

7. Oh and the big thing my kids keep asking for is the goofy candy companys make your own treat . would that have anything we can get there ? I heard there is crispy rice treats avaliable would they make us one using that ? Also where are these treat to be found ?
They're found at Goofy's Candy Company at Downtown Disney, or at the confectionary shops in the parks. However, they are NOT gluten free. The rice crispy treats contain barley malt, and they dip everything into the same big vats of melted chocolate - so all the chocolate is contaminated with gluten. The toppings are also contaminated because pretzel sticks/cookies/crispy treats are buried in them.

Basic caramel apples may be an option, though.

8. I know yu can use your snack for simple breadfest items usually is there anything gluten and wheat free I can do that with ? Thanks so much for all of your help and being so patiant with me . By the way we are going April 4-10 thanks

The pickings are a little slim for gluten free snack-credit breakfasts. Yogurt (yoplait), fruit cups, gluten free brownies, gluten free rolls/toast (you'll have to ask for a chef for that, and it's probably not worht the time), apple slices with peanut butter, pudding cups, hard boiled eggs, whole fruit. I usually bring a box of cereal to have for breakfasts, and use a snack credit for milk. The mickey head rice crispy treats aren't gluten free, although at one point they had a gluten free version available.

thanks ladies for the help . My thought on the snacks are if my older 3 kids are eating something then the 20 month old (at the time of visit) will want it as well . I was trying to find items that are simular in loks meaning if I can get them brownies with ice cream then I can get me and the 20month old a gluten free brownie with ice cream . Is that making sense?

The carmel apple with no dipping is a great option for me and peyton while the other kids get goodies from the candy shop .

Thanks agian for the help !!!

As for the caramel apple and other make your own items do ask the CM if they can bring a plate of toppings so that the kid can make their own gluten free treat. It is worth a try.

I do understand the need to all have the same things. I would hate to sit there and watch everyone have hot fudge sundaes while I was stuck with mango sorbet. I am mostly at DLR now and their options are so slim and I know it will not be fair that my friend can pig out while I sit there with a bunless burger. You can ask they make a sundae for everyone except the kid with celiac then have them make a brownieless sundae then slip the gluten free brownie into the sundae.

WDW is definitely better than DLR which never addressed my soy allergy and their top secret park only list is from last December. Some restaurants are not even on the list and some like Oom ... Pizza is closed for good. WDW spoils its guests.
