Celebrity sightings?

I agree that they are just people - but they are famous!:) (I wish there was a giggling emoticon).

When we were there in November, we saw Goran Visnjic (Luka from ER) and I flipped! My kids thought I was nuts. I just looked over in line and he was standing there, and looked EXACTLY the same. It was just such a shock! I started giggling like a 12yo! Of course, I had to sneak a pic, but otherwise tried to leave him be. We rode Jungle Cruise and I sat almost directly across from him. In hindsight, I should have said something, given that his career isn't what it used to be. He might have liked being recognized. lol

eta: We did see another guy with a plaid, and I know he was someone but I didn't know who. He looked like a cross between Luke Perry and Josh Duhamel. I'm not up enough on celebrities in general to know someone unless they are from a show or band I like. If I ever saw Dave Grohl, I'd probably drop dead right on the spot.

Lol. We saw Dave Grohl there last year. My husband (totally clueless about celebs and wouldn't notice if Johnny Depp sat next to him on Pirates) pointed him out to me.

The same day, actually, I had a huge celeb sighting, well for me it was huge. I met jockey Corey Nakatani while we were in line to meet Minnie. I was absolutely dying inside but managed to stay cool and have a really nice chat with him. I never said I knew who he was, and I'm sure he rarely gets recognized because horse racing isn't like the NBA. I texted my husband "OMG. This is Corey Nakatani I'm taking to. Like, totally famous jockey. Can you hear my insides screaming like a 12 year old girl?" Lol.

He was so nice and our girls had fun playing together in line. I still regret not giving into my fandom and asking for a pic.

During our February trip earlier this year I saw Taye Diggs with his family and a plaid near Grizzly River Run. I wanted to stop and sneak a picture but DH just kept going with the girls so I did too. I have fun looking whenever I see plaids to see if they are with a celebrity.

I don't watch TV, so am horrible with celebrities. All of "my" celebrity sightings, were spotted by others. My ex husband spotted Booger from Revenge of the Nerds in line for IASW a few groups up from us. He also had spotted Dog the Bounty Hunter in the Esplanade, and a girl in line behind us for Peter Pan's Flight from MTV's Real World. I had actually left the line to take my son to the restroom, when I returned, he told me he thought she had been on MTV. So I just turned around and asked her. Her response was "is that your husband in the yellow shirt? I was wondering why he kept looking at me. Yes, I was on Real World." Lol

My last trip (November 2011) we saw George Lopez, Nick Canon (I wasn't surprised with this one since he was hosting the Christmas Parade) and Malcom-Jamal Warner.

OMG! I seriously would either pass out or pee my pants. I am a huge Foo Fighter fan (obviously) and I just think Dave Grohl is so talented, and seems sooo cool!

Sorry about going :offtopic: :)

We didn't see him but Bruce Willis was at the parks on Tuesday. Tonight we saw some rapper named Tyga walking around with a CM in plaid.

Last February in Downtown Disney, I was with a friend and she was pointing at someone and said "who is that, he looks familiar" and I turned around and saw Pierce Brosnan (Remington Steele, James Bond) with his kids walking down the street! That was pretty nifty, I'll admit! He's still handsome, with salt & pepper hair now!! :thumbsup2:cool1:

When I was younger we saw the actor who played Red on That Seventies Show getting on Space Mountain. I didn't watch the show but people in line were shouting "hey Red" and my brother figured it out.

We were there the same weekend -and kept running into Pierce Brosnan all over the place! So tall and handsome, with no attempt to hide or disguise himself! We rode Star Tours with him and then later saw him at DCA where he saved a baby in a stroller as it was rolling downhill away from its mother. It was like James Bond meets Mr. Mom.

This February we saw Brian Wilson (of the SF Giants) as we were getting off Pirates. My daughter was awestruck and tried to get a photo surreptitiously.

We've seen many of the Dancing with the Stars folks - over the years.

I would love to see Brian Wilson, or, any Giants player for that matter. Brandon Crawford is so dang cute, I'd like to see him. :)

Bruce Willis is definitely in for the weekend. He was seen at the Grand Californian..

There have been a lot of threads on celebrity sightings over the years, and at some point (when I have time) I am going to round up at least a few of them and merge them into one thread. There have been some interesting sightings that have been recounted in previous threads, and people either end up repeating their stories or their stories are forgotten forever when the threads drop to another page.

I'm also going to move this thread to the Disneyland Community forum because it has nothing to do with planning trips.:goodvibes

In this post of my TR I detailed my December 2012 Gwen Stefani/Gavin Rossdale sighting on Buena Vista Street (and exactly how I handled it by trying to be inconspicuous :rotfl2:), with clandestine photos:rotfl2: - HERE

Laurie/DizNee Luver saw Gwen in DCA on the same day I did, but before I saw her, and Laurie's husband got a great close-up photo of Gwen riding Mater's Junkyward Jamboree, which she posted in her TR - HERE

I saw and brushed arms with Holly Madison in DL back in December 2011, which I wrote about (no photos of Holly) in this TR post - HERE

The day after I saw Holly Madison in December 2011, I saw Zach Galifianakis of "The Hangover" movies (and others) in the GCH -- while I was crying -- which I wrote about in this TR post (no photos of Zach) - HERE

Don't think this qualifies as a "celebrity" but I saw Dog the Bounty hunter come out of a backstage area near the exit of Splash mtn. I think this was in 2005 or 2006. He's not very tall...and he had boots on. I'm sure I've unknowingly seen other celebrities at the parks, I usually don't pay too much attention, but Dog the bounty hunter really stood out with his crazy hair.

DD11 would be over the moon to see Derek at DL :hyper:

I think the season should be over by the time we go to DL so they will have time to visit the parks :rotfl:

Over the years we've seen
Teri Garr, Gina Davis, Holly Madison, Debra Wilson (MadTV), Debra Messing -in a bathrobe leaving the pool at GCH and Maya Rudolph. I'm probably missing some. I'm a "Plaid" Watcher so I see lots of celebs.

Oh I almost forgot my Snoop Dog sighting at Angels Stadium. I wasn't watching and almost walked into him. :cool1:

My son used to be a CM and saw Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez with their family when they were still together a couple of years ago. We've seen Terry Crews from White Chicks, Kobe Bryant, Ashley Tisdale, Jennette McCurdy and a few more I can't remember right now.

The GCH lobby seems to be a good place to see celebs. Over the years I have seen Kelsey Grammer, Cindy Crawford, and John Lasseter there.
