Celebrity sightings?

I might, if we were situated in a way that was conducive to conversation. I wouldn't go racing across the road to accost someone though.

I've met many music industry celebs over the years though working backstage locally. They are all just people and would like to be treated normally for the most part. Paul Brandt bought us pie. :D

I LOVE Paul Brandt. Apparently he's an amazingly kind person. Extremely friendly and personable. Very Canadian :thumbsup2

Hubby & I are big UFC fans. We saw Court McGee while we had lunch at French Market last week :goodvibes He had fought & won the night before in a UFC in Anaheim. We just ate & creeped :thumbsup2

Saw Sarah McLachlan waiting to get on the Tea Cups with her family, though that was pretty funny!

I worked at Blue Ribbon Bakery when it was still huge. I was backstage unloading a delivery of frozen yogurt boxes into the walk-in fridge. I had my super long skirt pulled up between my legs and tucked into the waist just like I was trained to do to avoid tripping and falling on the moist fridge floor. I stacked up some boxes then walk to the door that was required to be left open to grab some more boxes. Standing there watching me was Dolly Parton. I froze in my tracks, all sweaty, and blushed. She said, "Darlin', they got you workin' too hard! And what's with the get-up?" while she pointed to my skirt. I told her and she said, "It's a damn good thing I don't work here. I'm clumsy and I'm top heavy!" Everyone laughed and she gave me a hug even though I warned her I was sweaty. She was the most petite woman I have ever seen and she was a genuine sweetheart. That was my most fav moment while working there. :)

LOVE your Dolly story!

I've only seen two, maybe three. John Stamos, plaid-less outside the Hungry Bear and Holly Madison (when she was still with Hef) at the little shop near Blue Bayou that sells Christmas ornaments. Also saw her on the esplanade, coming from DTD. She was plaid-less, and just with a girlfriend. She was wearing those high athletic socks and had perfect skin. Tiny, very petite. This was all in 2009.

As for autographs, I would never ask for for one, ever, unless it was a specific event for that purpose. I'm a believer in letting folks just be "normal" when they are there.

OK, very lame celebrity story here:
I'm pretty sure I saw a celebrity last week but have no idea who it was. He was strikingly good-looking (like in a way we don't see in WI), with a beautiful woman and their children coming out of the subs. They were with a plaid. It didn't struck me until later that he might have been a celebrity. He had on a cap and sunglasses so I suspected he was trying to be somewhat incognito. Just my luck that I couldn't even get a good story out of my only celebrity sighting!

I am so out of the world of celebs that I probably wouldn't recognize them if they walked up to me and said hi. :confused3:laughing:

I saw Bar Rafaelli and Leonardo DiCaprio a couple years ago. They went to Disneyland and then DCA... Didn't notice if they were being escorted, I thought it was cool, but I'd be scared to death to go up to them.

Last month on 3/20 we were in line for Toy Story MM and Kevin Pollack from The Usual Suspects/Few Good Men/Etc was in line behind us. He's a funny dude and was polite when people talked to him.

B5K

When I was about 10 my family spotted James Spader (I had no clue who he was back then) in our line near IASW - they convinced me to approach him to ask if he was who they thought he was and indeed he was. A couple of years later when Stargate was in theatres I recognized him as the "famous guy I met at Disneyland" :rotfl:

Last June we were standing near Masi Oka (Hiro from Heroes) at WOC before it started. When I recognized him and made eye contact, he pulled his baseball cap a little bit further down, so I just smiled and went back to chatting with my friends & fam :) I did whisper to one friend and pointed him out, but we didn't want to make a big deal in case he was trying to keep a low profile with his female companion (girlfriend maybe?).

Ditto they are just like everyday people to me.

I tend to agree with this.. I saw some celebrity whosit's at the park when my son and I were there over March 15th weekend.. couldn't tell who it was but I'm kind of glad for that as they were pretty rude and were completely ignoring their kids (the plaid was the only one showing them any attention) as they walked onto every ride from the exit/stopping the flow so just they could board like they owned the place.. I can understand somewhat them wanting their aninonimity (:confused3) but really? No one noticed them but for the fact that they had a plaid and they were decked out in a lot of dark clothes, hats and sunglasses even on the rides.. lol.. and I think people only paid attention cause they were standing out so much

When I was in 9th grade, I went to DL on a band trip. Screech from Saved By The Bell was at the park.I nearly died. He was my favorite. He was so generous to sign autographs and take pics and he even rode a ride with the group of gaggly girls!

I wouldn't notice if our kids were playing together is my guess. Me equals oblivious, people look like people, and not much of a celebrity follower. In all my years in many big cities and special places I have seen none, at least that I noticed.

I agree that they are just people - but they are famous!:) (I wish there was a giggling emoticon).

When we were there in November, we saw Goran Visnjic (Luka from ER) and I flipped! My kids thought I was nuts. I just looked over in line and he was standing there, and looked EXACTLY the same. It was just such a shock! I started giggling like a 12yo! Of course, I had to sneak a pic, but otherwise tried to leave him be. We rode Jungle Cruise and I sat almost directly across from him. In hindsight, I should have said something, given that his career isn't what it used to be. He might have liked being recognized. lol

eta: We did see another guy with a plaid, and I know he was someone but I didn't know who. He looked like a cross between Luke Perry and Josh Duhamel. I'm not up enough on celebrities in general to know someone unless they are from a show or band I like. If I ever saw Dave Grohl, I'd probably drop dead right on the spot.

What a nice story! :) I've heard she's wonderful in person.

I kept seeing Richard Kind last June. First with a plaid and later not. As often as I saw him I decided he must be stalking me. :rotfl:

Kat, I've seen Richard Kind twice on two separate occasions at Disneyland! How funny! I've also seen Josh Malina, Gary Sinise and Josh Dallas & Ginnifer Goodwin, who had her own ears that said "Ginny" on them.

We saw someone this week but couldn't put a name with the face. Like a younger Brad Garrett, with (I thought) a hint of Javier Bardem. With a little blonde girl about 7 years old.
