This is probably a stupid post, but I was wondering if anyone has ever spotted a celebrity at WDW. It seems like they could hide themselves by getting backstage entrances to some of the rides, but if their kid wanted to ride the Flying Dumbos, they would be right out there in the open with the rest of us. Just curious, thought it might be fun to see.....:hyper:

Saw Tony Soprano (James Gandolfi) with his son on the Race Car Ride in MK during Presidents Day Weekend 2004.

My DH and older DD saw Al Roker at MK recently (I don't remember the day, but we were at WDW 3/19 thru 3/30). He was there with 2 children and an older woman that DH assumed was the grandmother. No entourage or anything that DH noticed and they were just waiting in the regular lines in Fantasyland.

A while back I saw a post on the Resorts forum about seeing famous people at the Grand Floridian.

I don't remember who they saw though.....

I'll keep my eyes open when I'm there in two weeks!!

While waiting at Customer service in MGM I saw Donnie Osmond. He was waiting for his VIP escort to Fantasmic.

We saw Scottie Pippen at AK last May. He was just walking along with his wife while a CM was pushing his kid in a stroller. He was very nice about stopping and signing autographs. One CM even pointed him out to me. I know Michael Jackson was at Epcot at the same time, but we didn't see him at all, we just heard about it.

A cast Member was pushing his kid in the stroller? I find that weird....was he too busy signing autographs to push his own kid?

Ohh yeah and maybe im out of touch...LOL Who is Scottie Pippen?

The CM was pushing his kid at all times. Even when he was just walking. It was funny seeing his wife just walking along doing nothing (I'm surprised they didn't have a CM pushig her around).

And I guess my DW was right (!:scared1:!) when she said Scottie Pippen is only a minor celebrity. My point was that he was named to the list of the 50 greatest basktetball players of all time, which IMO makes him a major celebrity. DW's point was that he was 2nd fiddle to Michael Jordan on the Bulls and nobody cared about him.

We were eating at O'Hana's about 2 weeks ago and my daughter swears she saw LeAnne Rimes at a table of 8 people. I walked by and tried not to stare, and it did look a whole lot like her.

A few years we were having dinner at Teppanyaki in Japan at Epcot and Sean Connery (James Bond 007) was seated at the table next to us.

That really does make me laugh that a CM was pushing the stroller....and that explains it, I know NOTHING about sports...my DH would probably know who he is though....

My husband and I saw Hulk Hogan boarding Space Mountain back in 1999 when we were at Disney World for part of our honeymoon. It was pretty funny because he seemed annoyed that people were yelling out his name, but it seemed as though he made no effort to "disguise" himself per se, since he was walking around wearing a muscle shirt and the headwear like he always does. I have to admit that it was pretty funny to watch him cram himself into the already small seat!

About 8 1/2 years ago I saw Corbin Bernson (L.A. Law, Celebrity Mole) in the MK over The February vacation-President's Week. Not very thrilling, but a celebrity sighting nonetheless.

10 years ago when I was working at WDW I saw Howie Mandell at the Yacht Club eating dinner (forgot what restaurant) and at work one day (Liberty Inn Epcot) Melissa Reeves (Days of Our Lives) and her husband Scott Reeves (As the World Turns) came through my line. Minor celebrities, but I met them.!::MickeyMo

Here is a thread with tons of posts (maybe it is the one that Karemore mentioned) from the resorts board about celebrity sightings:

Hey StaceyA, thanks for the link to that thread. I guess my post wasn't stupid, just the fact that I thought I had come up with an original idea!:hyper: Anyway, I read a few, and when I have the time plan on going back to it. It is nice to know that in some way WDW is a (somewhat) level playing field for all of us. We love it, and we want to share it with our kids. Even if some of us do get to sneak in the back door of the rides. But then the rest of us don't have to put up with fans interrupting our vacation to ask for our autograph. Oh yeah, and the thought of Michael Jackson in WDW just sends shivers up my spine......:scared1:

I was in the Country Bear Jamboree at the same time as Tom Cruise in 1989 (my Senior Class trip). They let him and his wife? (GF? I don't remember but I'm pretty sure she was famous too - not Nicole. Before that) on first and they left last. So of course, we stayed as long as we could. He did smile at us. At 17 it totally made our trip!

I saw Raven when I was there in December...and I saw Wayne Brady when his show was filming there...my grandma got a pic.

:D Not sure if this counts but I saw Jimi Hendrix at Disneyland in 1969 doing a photo shoot on Main Street.

In 2000 saw Ray Romano at Chef Mickey's with his family.

My uncle got to swim and chat with "Goat Boy", Jim Breur (Brewer?) at the Grand Floridian. No one else seemed to notice him, and even now when he tells people, they say, "Jim who?". I think he is a very funny comedian, but definately C-list, sadly. He did say that he laughs just like he does in his comedy routines.
