I was browsing through the latest edition of Vacation Magic today and saw that NFL player Adam Vinatieri has been a DVC member since 2002. It made me start wondering what other athletes and celebrities are members. Does anyone know of any others?

Ok good, now I don't feel like such a paparazi for wondering the same thing!!!!! :lmao: (and that's me laughing at myself!!!) That's a fun and interesting question!!! Does anyone know the answer?

Aren ALL DVCers celebrities? We had the smarts to buy in??? :lmao:

Back on the 2003 Member Cruise one of the guests was former NHL Coach Scotty Bowman. I believe at the time he said he was a fellow DVC Member.

I would have been proud to call him "neighbor" until he left us for the Colts! :teeth:

Brett Favre is a member of the disney Vacation Club. I remember pictures and several postings from a few years ago.

Wasn't there a post a couple years ago about Former President Carter being a DVC member?

I know a DVC member who was staying at OKW and Carter had the room next to his.

:rotfl: Me too!!

I believe Sean Hannity is a member. There was a thread about his being there last Christmas (which of course turned into a political debate! ;) )

I thought I read that Michael Knight, plays Tad, on All My Children is a member at the BWV.

I read somewhere that somebody had seen John Stamos a few times at Cape May. How's that for a rumor? LOL. ;) That doesn't mean that he's a member of course, but given his total obsession with Disney (he bought the old Disneyland sign) it wouldn't surprise me at all if he wanted to "own a piece of the magic"

Now the question to ask is: do you think celebrity DVCers get their requests honored? :rotfl:

And, do any sign in to the Forums? Of course most of us are incognito to begin with, so who would know, and probably none would tell at any rate.

I am now officially declaring that I am not a celebrity, nor have I ever been one, though as a DVC member, I have been declared special on many occasions during my visits to the World. :wave2:

Sean goes for free as he is a Fox (ABC/Disney) employee. Complimentary rooms, tickets and a guide for the day. He loves Disney.

I think you've got your cables crossed; Disney doesn't own Fox. :confused3 Or am I missing a joke?

Don't know if John Stamos is a member or not, but, he has been a guest narrator at the Candlelight Processional in the past. Also, he's been seen many times in the BW/BC area so it appears maybe those areas are some of his favorites??? I would be willing to bet quite a few celebrities are able to throw a baseball cap or hat on, a pair of sunglasses, shorts, and sneakers like the rest of us and simply go unrecognized for a good portion of their trip. Maybe it's just me, but, I probably wouldn't recognize a celebrity when they were not in their element of acting as a particular character, etc. I guess I just don't really "look" at people that closely in crowded situations.

No joke. I thought there was a FOX/Disney/ABC connection, but I may be mistaken. I do know that he gets comped rooms and receives CM tickets. :)

Or maybe your the celbrity who has done this . . . . Come on tell us who you are!!! ;)

Personally I find it a little odd that celebs are DVC owners. I know if I was famous and had big bucks it would be a fully furnished presidential suite for me all the way baby! None of this clean-up-after-yourself business. I'd go for the pampering every time, hands down.

Remember that famous does not necessarily equal big bucks. It often does, but it often also means "fairly big, but not $2500 a night suite big" bucks. Particularly for atheletes, who often have fairly short careers and usually become fairly "regular guys" after leaving (sure a few become sportscasters or something) - that big salary needs to get them through their lives. Used to be friends (long ago) with someone who married a pro baseball player - one of those guys you've never heard of unless you really followed baseball. He made low six figures a year for five years and then fell off the map.
