Janeane better start shopping for some good kneepads. ;)

From "The O'Reilly Factor" 3/6/2003:

O’Reilly: “If you are wrong, all right, and if the United States -- and they will, this is going to happen -- goes in, liberates Iraq, people in the street, American flags, hugging our soldiers, all right, we find all kinds of bad, bad stuff, all right, in Iraq, you gonna apologize to George W. Bush?”

Garofalo: “I would be so willing to say I’m sorry, I hope to God that I can be made a buffoon of, that people will say you were wrong, you were a fatalist, and I will go to the White House on my knees on cut glass and say, hey, you were right, I shouldn’t have doubted you. But I think to think that is preposterous.”

So, when's the "cut glass apology ceremony" in the Rose Garden scheduled for?

That is priceless! Geoff, please post any other quotes you dig up!

How about a count of how many race to start producing/directing/starring in movies, etc. about the war.

Thanks for posting Geoff!!! Hope you can find more of these quotes!

I think I heard that Glen Beck (sp?) is going to have Mike Farrel of MASH fame on his radio show Thurs. He was on before with the typical hollywood anti war stuff in front of a live audience that just about ate him alive. Ought to be interesting.

Laz IMHO Glenn Beck is the BEST to listen to during this time if you want to hear some patriotism!

This was a great find, Geoff! Do we have a list anywhere, or should be start one, of which celebs are anti-troops and which are pro-troops?

I just happened to switch the TV to MSNBC to see what they had to say... and they were mocking Jeannine Garofalo! :teeth: They showed a clip of her saying how we are DOOMED if we go into Iraq. :teeth:

I watch Fox News a lot. If I recall correctly, Dennis Hopper and Bruce Willis supported Bush. I even think that Willis said that if he were younger then he would have enlisted. There are probably more, but I can't think of any right now. You might want to check out http://www.hannity.com/?do=home.page

I also remember Richard Dryfeuss being asked and he responded that he was one of the many Americans who were on the fence.

Also, Ted Nugent backed the war http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,79658,00.html and his website is http://www.tednugent.com/

Michael Moore Signs Big Stars for 'Iraqi Freedom'
(2003-04-09) -- Oscar-winning documentarist Michael Moore announced today he had signed a "big-name cast of celebrities" to star in his next film, tentatively entitled 'Iraqi Freedom'.

The movie, celebrating the war to topple Saddam Hussein, will feature:
-- Martin Sheen as Gen. Tommy Franks
-- Harry Belafonte as Brig. General Vincent Brooks
-- Janeane Garofalo as Pfc. Jessica Lynch
-- Sean Penn as 32-year-old Mohammed, who directed rescuers to Jessica Lynch.

Although everyone involved in the film opposed the war in Iraq, Mr. Moore said, "That's no reason why we shouldn't make some money off it. That's the great thing about America. You can hate it, and still cash in."

It does upset me that Ms Garofalo hails from my daughters' (two of them) college.. Providence College, I believe the only or one of the only Dominican Colleges in the US...... in her act, she used to talk about her days at PC... how she was unpopular and hated it there as she did not fit in.....as no one liked a fat girl.. or something like that.. It would horrify me to hear her say those things.. Maybe part of the reason she is so caustic in real life..

I would pay to see her kneel before GWB.... We could have a Dis Meet at the Rose Garden.. ;) :)

You won't hear any apologies if they never find any WMDs. That will be the hold out.

A few days ago James Woods was on Jay Leno and wow was he in support of our President. I was never a fan of his but after hearing him speak out in support of President Bush I have a new found respect for him. My DH was getting ready to go to work and was a few minutes late because he wanted to hear what he had to say.

No, when it's over she'll claims we didn't find ENOUGH of them to satisfy her. That'll be the "out" she'll use!

I really like James Woods' support. I think his perspective on a lot of this was changed by the fact that he was on one of the "scouting" flights that some of the 9/11 terrorists made to check things out. He remembered seeing them on the plane after they struck.

James Woods was the actor who was flying first class from Boston to L.A. one week prior to Sept 11th, when he noticed suspicious Middle Easterners. He pointed them out to the flight attendent at the time. After 9/11 he recognized one as Mohammad Atta, and the other accomplise.

"I was Wrong, Bush was right!" On Newmax.com today. CBS "60 Minutes" commntator Andy Rooney has become the first big media personality to admit that he was wrong to oppose President Bush's decision to liberate Iraq. "I have not been a suporter of his, I did not vote for him. and I was very critical of what he did here," Rooney told Don Imus this morning. "And I must say that, fortunately he's president and I am not," "It appears as though he did the right thing and I didn't think he was doing the right thing. And, if he's listening....."

Wow I am pleasantly surprised by Andy Rooney. He always seems to have the attitude that he is always right. Glad to see he is able to amit when he is wrong.

That hollwyoodhalfwits site was perfect! Just what I was looking for.
