Celebrity Apology Watch

A few days ago James Woods was on Jay Leno and wow was he in support of our President. I was never a fan of his

Oh, but he was a great Hades!

I've always been a James Woods fan. Don't know why.

I think that even if WMD are found there will be accusations that they were planted, so there will be no apologies. No one will acknowledge it.

"I was Wrong, Bush was right!" On Newmax.com today. CBS "60 Minutes" commntator Andy Rooney has become the first big media personality to admit that he was wrong to oppose President Bush's decision to liberate Iraq. "I have not been a suporter of his, I did not vote for him. and I was very critical of what he did here," Rooney told Don Imus this morning. "And I must say that, fortunately he's president and I am not," "It appears as though he did the right thing and I didn't think he was doing the right thing. And, if he's listening....."

-----------------

It takes a LOT of character to make a statement like that on television and I applaud him for it.. However - he was NOT one of the unlawful protestors that created such havoc across the entire nation and it will be a cold day in............Orlando ;)......before ANY of those people admit that their analysis of the situation (gloom and doom) was incorrect..

I'm shocked!!! Shocked, I say!!!
Janeane Garofalo: 'I Have Nothing to Apologize For'

It looks as if outspoken Iraq war critic Janeane Garofalo won't be honoring her pledge to apologize to President Bush anytime soon.

"I have nothing to apologize for," she told WABC Radio's Steve Malzberg, who requested an interview with the comedian-turned-peacenik for his Sunday morning broadcast.

Malzberg tells NewsMax that instead of agreeing to the interview request, Garofalo boasted that her upcoming TV show on ABC was going forward despite a tidal wave of complaints received by the network.

"Boycotters are welcome to keep giving me tons of publicity," she dared before reiterating, "There will be no apologies."

You're right. Andy Rooney has preserved his credibility.

I didn't agree with her stand on the war, but I did respect her willingness to stand up for what she believed in. But now that she has proven herself a liar, I guess I can't really be sure what she believes in...how do I know what she really believes in? After all, she is now a proven liar...

How is she a liar Brenda??

A block away from where they pulled that statue down in Baghdad and welcomed our troops they killed one and wounded 3 in a car bombing. .

Saddam might be history, but anyone confusing hatred for him and joy that he's gone with love for us. . well, with all due respect, let's just say there's a long way to go to see whether or not this will be a successful introduction of democracy or any kind of civil government.

Maybe it will turn out to a shining example of liberating a country and allowing them to rule themselves and inspire other Mid-east countries to do the same. . or maybe it will end up in a long term bloody civil war between the various religious/ethnic factions and end up causing more violence and terrorism then it prevents. .

The military part has been an unqualified success. . but unless someone has a crystal ball and can predict the future, opinions both pro and con about this military action being the right or wrong thing to do have the same validity because it will be at least a couple years before anyone can tell whether this made the world safer or more dangerous, or whether the Iraq people will ultimately see us as liberators or invaders.

Oh and by the way, before the war O'Reilly said he would stand up and slam the Bush Administration and apologize to the protesters if we went in and no WMDs were found. . since we've searched the top 10 sites Powell claimed we "knew" housed WMDs and didn't find jack, so should O'Reilly do that now?

Personally I don't think so. . like I said, there's a long way to go to see how this is going to all play out. .

Hey Willy.. nice to see you.....personally I think O'Reilly does an alright job and as far as weapons of mass destruction.. I believe they were there and have been successfully moved or hidden in another country... Look if Syria is letting the high ranking Iraqis into there country, no questions asked, why wouldn't they assist them in hiding the weapons.. This is of course is my opinion....and as far as the celebrities are concerned.. they are entitled to their opinions just as we all are... and with those huge egos, they will never admit they may have made an error in judgment.

I certainly believe there ar WMD. They were there before, and we would be stupid to think that they really got rid of them. ANyone who tortures his own people, and harbors such hate would surely not leave these things out there to be found. There were warheads and weapons found in schools and hospitals...I do not think that these will be found until people start to step forward and reveal them. They have had 12 years to prove they did not have them, 12 years to get good at hiding and moving them around. It will take more than 1 month to find them.

As to celebs...let them talk. They think that their status will sway people. To be honest I would waste my time listening to any of them. Most are uneducated, people who rely on their looks, and no talent anyway.

How is she a liar Brenda??

Because she said she would do one thing and is now doing something totally different. Yes, there was and will continue to be some fighting in Baghdad. But unless there is some kind of media conspiracy to keep the truth away from us, then it is pretty obvious that there were more people welcoming the troops than there were shooting at them. And it's also been shown that *surprise* many of the people shooting at our troops aren't even Iraqis, but rather they are Syrians.

As for the WMD, I don't doubt that we'll find them, assuming they haven't all been moved to a third country.

It must be really hard for all of the people that were saying what a disaster this would be to see that it wasn't as bad as they predicted...success sucks, doesn't it?

Willy J, I've seen pics of Iraqis holding up signs that say "Welcome USA" (or some version thereof, lol, I remember one that said "Well Come USA"), pics of Iraqis kissing soldier's cheeks, giving soldiers a thumbs up (in an apparently postitive gesture, lol), and naming their children after president Bush and vice president Cheney. There are literally hundreds of photos of these types of events that would imply that although many, many of the Iraqi people are glad saddam is gone they are also thankful to the USA for our part in their liberation rather than bearing some kind of grude against us.

Amazing!

The mantra before the war was "give the inspectors more time, give the inspectors more time...."

Now it's, "ok, you've been there, what like, less than 30 days and even though you were fighting a war, WHERE'S THE WMDs?

SH has had plenty of time and practice moving and hiding them. So, if they're still in country, they will eventually be found (or FEDEXd in as some suggest).

I believe that O'Reilly is a stand up guy and I would surprised (and disappointed) if he would not stay true to his word.

JG was not true to her word.
