Anyone have any celebrity stories/ sightings???

Here's mine.......

I saw Sharon Stone shopping on a street in San Fransisco.

My DH flew on a plane with John Stamos (sp?)

I went to a wedding where Moira Kelly (Movie "With Honors")
was in attendance.

My cousin just married Martin Scoreese's(sp?) Assistant

My other cousin married a tv newscaster from Scranton, PA but I can't remember her name.- The morning after the wedding, we watched the highlights on the news, VERY WEIRD!!!!!!

Anyone else??????

I saw Tom Selleck stopped at a red light in Hawaii one time. I started freaking out (and I didn't even think he was all that).

DH has met Damon Wayans and last month in Florida LeeAnn Womack held the door for him.

I used to live in So. California & worked for a top brokerage firm in Beverly Hills. Not only did I meet a lot of celebrities but I also knew what most of them were worth!

I got to know John Stamos & Paula Abdul fairly well during that time since they were good friends of a friend of mine & they used to date (John & Paula that is.) They were both very nice, although I found John a little immature. Paula was as sweet as sugar!

Anyway, my biggest thrill (but disappointment) turned out to be Barry Manilow. I was his biggest fan but he was stuck up so now I'm not so crazy about him anymore.

It's fun seeing celebrities but they are just human beings like us.

David Hasselhoff (sp)!

He was Master of Ceremony for the very First Molson's Indy in Toronto. He was in the next suite next to the company that I was working for at the time. I had my picture taken with him but unfortunately my Ex was so jealous of this picture he got rid of it!

But I do have my memories! He is so sweet but he hates when you mention "Snapper"!LOL

Scratch
:smooth:

I work for a "celebrity" in the literary world. Have talked to plenty of them on the phone.

People are people. They just sometimes appear "different" because other people treat them "different". They have all the same problems as you and I.

I was at DS's friends(our neighbors) birthday party at Chuck E Cheese with Nancy Kerrigan. She is a cousin of theirs. Being a big fan of hers, it seemed so weird to be sitting there chit chatting like she was just one of the moms.

DH was walking around downtown Boston one day on his lunch hour when Pamela Anderson stopped him to ask for directions. He claims he didnt realize it was her until he noticed Tommy Lee's tatoos, but I find that hard to believe. ;)

I AM a celebrity who has had to secret his identity on the DIS:D. That's why I can't attend any meets :D........

I literally was BUMPED into by Bruce Willis at MGM studios. I even called him a name to point out his rudeness, my husband was so embarrassed! Hey, just because you are a celebrity doesn't mean you can slam into someone while you talk on the cell phone and not excuse yourself!

:p

A few years ago, DW and I took a trip to the GF RPC. John Goodman was stating there as well. Now, I’ve always liked John Goodman, but I never figured he would be so mobbed by autograph seekers. We saw him many times the first couple days of our stay, and he was constantly being approached by somebody. I felt sorry for him, so even if he sat quite close to us in the lounge, we wouldn’t bother him. On our third or fourth day there, DW and I happened to being waiting on the same elevator as him when someone approached from behind and said, “Excuse me, can I have your autograph.” My wife didn’t miss a beat; she turned around and said, “Sure. It’s so nice that you watch the show.” The autograph seeker was just befuddled, but handed my wife his autograph book and she signed “Thanks for watching,,, and signed her name.” By that time the elevator had arrived, so we were all jumping inside. Once inside the elevator, John Goodman was just staring at my wife. She turned to him and said, “Nope, I’m nobody.” He just died laughing. We must have made quite an impression because the next morning, he introduced his wife and daughter to us. From what we saw of him that week, he is as nice in person as he appears in the movies.

I drove a Fire Engine in the movie Chain Reaction and there was a lot of filming in our area. We had lunch with some of the co-stars but Keanau Reeves would not lower himself to talk to us. Fred Ward and a few others ate with us "extras" often.

Hey fireplug, I was an extra in Hardball with Keanu Reeves...he was a real egomaniacal jerk!!

Boy, I really don't get along with celebrities huh?;)

I had to laugh at your title dh jokes this is my favourite past time. I really need to learn to watch where Im going.

I was coming around a corner once at our Arena and ran smack dab into Bill Cosby. LITERALLY
He was very nice about it thankfully.

When we were in Vegas a few years ago I was busy talking with my SIL and ran smack dab into Boomer Essiason ( sp?).

Again, he was very nice.

There are more but those are embarrassing enough for one post ;)

if lookalikes count then I can add James Marsters at a PI club

Adam Sandler in a local restaurant last year. I'm such a dork, after my friend introduced me to him (they used to date in high school) I asked him if he ever met Jon Bon Jovi (love him!) and he said "uh, yeah...he's a handsome guy" and looked at me kind of funny....I totally embarrassed myself, but I couldn't help myself

MANY years ago, I was in Chicago O'Hare airport and walked by the boarding gate Mr. Rogers was sitting at.

A few years ago, I was on the same plane coming back from London that John Daly was on after missing the cut at the Open. Nobody even tried to talk to him.

Even fewer years ago my father and I were in a BBQ place outside Dallas and Toby Keith came in. This was before he really got big. He had just sung at the halftime show of the Cowboys game my father and I had just come from. There were hardly any people in the place but I still didn't go up to him.

About 5 years ago I was in a Mexican restaurant off the Vegas strip when I noticed at the table next to me (about an arm's length) was Anthony Keides (sp?), lead singer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Last year when we were at WDW we went to have dinner at the ESPNZone on the boardwalk. Terry Bowden was being interviewed on stage and was entertaining questions. I got picked to ask him one, making him the only one of these celebrities I actually talked with.

I went to school with Jon Bon Jovi.

I also met and had our picture taken with Jason Priestly (Beverly Hills 90210) at a speedboat race when he was a pilot of one of the boats.

We saw Trace Adkins at a hotel, we were sitting in the lobby and he came down and got some coffee. We knew he was staying there, because he was doing a concert at the local fairgrounds and his bus was outside. My son and I said "Hi" and he said "Hey" and smiled. Ooh what a deep voice he has and he was sooo tall! I mean, you see it on TV, but in person....wow! He was also wearing shorts.....like I said, Wow! LOL! :)

this is jan/cape's daughter and i have encountered a few celeb's.

I went to Florida for spring break and was on the same plane as Manny Rameirez from the boston red sox

Never accidentally bumped into any celebs...they've all been planned.

River Phoenix (then he died 6 mos later)
Chuck Berry
Georges' parents from Sienfeld (Jerry Stiller and Estelle Harris)

Authors: Ken Kesey, Tom Robbins, William S. Burroughs, and Hunter S. Thompson (absolute FREAK!!!!)
