Celebrities at DVC??

Okay, I was just thinking.... I am sure that the celebs must do Disney too of course. So, my ?? -- have you ever considered which might own DVC also??
And- have you ever had a celeb sighting at a DVC resort??
Just thought it would be fun to hear experiences

Over the years, I've heard the names of several professional athletes who are DVC members........unfortunately, I don't remember who they were......... And, I know a day or two before we arrived at VB in May, 2008, Jon BonJovi and his family were at Vero for a few days........don't know if they were cash guests or are DVC, though.

I met Bobby Brown (from Dog the Bounty Hunter) at the BWV last year. Very cool, I thought.

I was at BWI years ago and saw John Ritter step out of the elevator.

There was a thread about this awhile back and concensus was that most celebrities probably wouldn't own DVC. I mean, they have enough money to get the Royal Asante Suite anytime they want, why bother with DVC?

Some years ago, I ran into Kelly Ripa and her then baby son at the BWV. She was heading out of the elevator area on the first floor by the pool, and turning the corner around by the arcade.

In the late 90's during my first stay at BWV, the ABC Soap Stars were staying there during their weekend event. I was in a standard villa facing the valet area, and they would hustle them into the hotel right under my balcony! That was exciting, to say the least as I had been a soap watcher in the 80's and early 90's...

I don't think any of these people were members, just probably staying at the resort on cash most likely...

Last year we were staying at Animal Kingdom for F&W the first weekend in Oct - I was in the lobby on my cell when Matt Lauer and his family walked by - they were being escorted to their room and were walking slowly looking at all the stuff in the lobby. It took everything in me to not yell I LOVE THE TODAY SHOW MATT!!!

I don't have the link handy, but all our property records with DVC are a matter of public record and available online -- same for celebs. You can search through them, I recall a threat where people did and found Brett Favre, among others. You can see the documents you -- and they -- have signed online. It's a little disconcerting, on some level, but I guess public record is public record.

im thinking most of the ABC family of stars would probably be comped a visit to WDW either tied into a previous onsite work commitment w/family as long as they did some publicity shots

not DVC, yet Slash (musician, guitarist for GNR) is a return DCL guest...he has small children It's reported he is gracious, signs autographs once recognized, etc. & has commented he typically ties in an onsite park visit.

Many celebrities with name recognition hold title to real property in the name of a trust so that their ownership is not obvious. So they could own and you might never know from a title search. But I agree that few celebrities would own DVC or any timeshare because the nature of their lives makes it hard to plan vacations months in advance. -- Suzanne

That is what I would do or stay in the presidential suite at the GF.

I would think that all the Disney Channel stars also are members or their parents rather. That would be pretty cool for the kids. Mine would love it if they saw someone famous at AK when we go

I know Joey Fatone is from the Orlando area. He owns a big house around there somewhere. That's pretty funny that he owns DVC too. Just goes to show that everyone wants to own a piece of the magic...even if they have a house right in the neighborhood!

And I would say that Favre's wife and kids probably use DVC mostly. They could probably travel without him and majority of the people would never know who they are. I wouldn't unless he was with them.
