Celebrities at Disney?

Last year we saw Donny Osmond (my teenage crush!) and his beautiful family, and a few years back we saw Glenn Close.

At Disneyland, I've seen James Spader, the dead lady's husband from Desperate Housewives, and Travis Barker with his Playboy model wife - I also saw him in a Best Buy once. Travis goes to DL a lot. I think there are some others I've seen, but I just don't remember.

My DB and DSIL got to have a CM escort in WDW before. Their dd's were the baby of Susanne Somers on Step By Step, and they got to go to WDW for the filming. All of the cast members (of the show) were provided with an escort - who was at their beck and call any time they wanted. They always got the best seats for restaurants/shows and got to go in the front of any long lines. Considering that my DB was on a majorly tight budget, this was a nice change for them. They didn't know if admission to the parks would be provided, so he brought his old CM passes just in case!

When my daughter was a csst member she met Montel and his family and Mariah and her group. Montel and family were great Mariah was rude and brash. ::MinnieMo

I just watched the tape of Step by Step at WDW (I loved that show)

thats really neat that your niece was Lily. How did she get picked for the part.

Has she done any other shows?

Wasnt she the Welchs grape juice girl?

After reading a previous "looked like a stalker" thread I am not as embarassed that I had a similar experience. In May 2005, I was at MK and kept running into JR Chandler from All My Children. He was much bigger (taller and more muscular) than I would have expected and he had a very kind demeaner. I am now a fan!

Have you ever seen any? Who and when? :lovestruc

On Friday, 12/2, we had lunch at Big River Grille and when we were leaving the BoardWalk area we saw John O'Hurley at Valet Parking, sitting on a bench (I assume waiting for his car/ride) and talking on his cell phone.
I pointed him out to my wife, he looked over and waved.

I saw Cuba Gooding, Jr and I believe Anthony Hopkins at MGM in 1999. He was doing his hand prints and Instinct was being released. I think I took a roll of film just of Cuba!

Several years ago, late 90's I saw both Ebert and Roeper filming one of their "Pick the Winners" specials at Disney MGM. Also my brother saw Christina Aguillera at MK once.

I saw Raven Simone there last Nov at MGM. She was signing autographs. I think she sang while she was there as well, but I did not see her perform.

I saw one guy from "Survivor", he was on the All Star edition and not sure what other Survivor he was on. He was the guy with all the tatoo's and piercings.

That guy you saw from Survivor was Lex Van Den Berghe. He was originally on Survivor Africa, then was on the all star edition.

In 1998 I saw Kevin Bacon at Planet Hollywood in Downtown Disney.

Kevin Bacon actually lives near me. I see him and his family out and about at least once a year. It's still exciting every time I see him. Celebrity sightings just never get old.

I have not met anyone famous at Disney - but I did get stopped to ask for my autograph at MK - some people thought I was the Duchess of York and my hubby was my bodyguard.

That also happened on international drive too - a lady asked my hubby if I was her! Hubby thought it hilarious! :rotfl:

I happen to have several celeb sightings........I'm sure you're all rolling your eyes thinking this is BS but i swear.....
1. sat behind britney spears (in 99) on space mountain
2. robins williams at GF
3. Frank sinatra in epcot in 90 or so.....too young to realize who he was but he took a picture with my grandmother
4. taye diggs in 99
5. courtney cox in 96 or so

We saw Doug Flutie with his family at MK near Space Mountain in 1992. He was pushing a stroller. My dh is a huge Patriots fan but we kept our distance. We tried to catch his eye but he wouldn't look up

We've seen Joey Fattone of Nsync twice... two separate trips. I think it's karma or something.
I know his mother saw 98* when they were all the rage, too. She had a school group down from Ohio and they kept running into them... she could have brought Nick Lachey home for me any day of the week....mmmm..... :rolleyes1

I would have to agree with you there!

Nope, never. But I'm not looking. I could probably trip over Michael Jackson AND his entourage and not recognize him and apologize and walk away. The only time I've ever seen a celeb in Disney is in my US Weekly.

....Oh yeah, but my sis did say she saw Kelly Preston (John Travolta's wife) and her kids in the bathroom of California Grill when we were there in Oct getting her kids dressed up for the Halloween Party. And like I noted above, I was there in that bathroom at the same time and did not see her, didn't notice her at all and according to my sister I was standing right next to her.

Saw Ed Asner while paying for our Chef's Table experience at Victoria and Alberts a few years ago. He was the guest narrator for CP that year. Also some Star Wars people at SW weekend a couple years ago.

This stinks. Looked everywhere at Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Sea World and didn't see anyone! Thought there was someone due to a lot of CM's around, but didn't spot anyone that could be considered a Celebrity. Maybe I just didn't know them. Oh well. We'll be going back at some point and hopefully I'll get a chance then!

We saw David Robinson, hard to miss him he is 7'2" tall several years ago. Also saw Brian Urlacher filming ESPN commercial where he is a volunteer face painter. He even came over and talked to my son and I and let us take pictures with him.
