Celebrations Galore & Free Dining too! A Sept 2012 PTR (TR started!)

I love CP breakfast! I booked it this trip again because I just love it so much! :) I should get one happy thing in a trip too, right?

Good job on your race! My mom and I are doing a Roswell Race in late August. We did it last year to kick-off our Princess 1/2 training and we are doing it again this year. It was a good race with some nice 'gift' bags and a nice meal afterwards. You should check it out.

Good job on your race! My sister and I will be doing a 5k this Saturday. I'm pretty nervous. I just started running again 2 weeks ago and haven't done a race in 3 years. I'm mostly worried about the heat I hate to run when it is hot.

I cant wait to see Coles birthday pics. My lo turns a year next month and we are going to do a Mickey birthday :)

Your plans look great we waited too long to decide if we were going to book our trip or not that all the prime eating times were taken, it's crazy how quick they all book!

CP breakfast is one of our favorite meals! The food is so yummy and we love the characters.

Thanks! I'll definately look into that race! I just signed up for another 5K on July 9th (Loughran's). It's on a Monday night which kind of stinks, but I heard from my family that it's a great race and a great party.

Thanks! I haven't run since Friday night because I've been busy these past few nights and it's super hot! Tomorrow will be in the 90's but will feel like 100+ degrees!! :scared1:

I still have to upload his pics. I keep forgetting!

Thank you. Keep checking up on the times and places you want to eat. Sometimes things will open up as you get closer to your dates. For our June 09 trip, I was able to get Le Cellier and Chef Mickey's a few days before we left!

Congrats on your race and also, hurray for double digits! You must be so excited :D

Thank you! :thumbsup2 I'm super excited!!!

Day 7 - September 24th

Sadly, this is our last full day. Even just talking about it makes me so sad! Anyways....we'll be heading to our favorite park, Epcot, for rope drop. Once again, we'll head straight for Soarin', grab FP's....you know the drill!!! We plan on being here all day, so we'll just enjoy ourselves and take it easy. Explore whatever else we want, etc. We have a 4pm ADR for Garden Grill and that's it. We loved it so much on our last trip that we just had to go back. They open at 4pm and I highly recommend getting that early ADR there. The restaurant was nearly empty when we ate there and the characters came around a few times. The food was excellent...especially the dessert!

Depending on how we're feeling, we might stay for IllumiNations again. Maybe we'll even walk over to enjoy the Boardwalk a little bit after dinner. It's so much fun over there!

In other Disney news, I've crossed a few more items off our list. I ordered Madison some more pins on ebay. I bought some quite awhile ago, so we went through all of them to decide if she wanted to keep any. I think we had about 55 total and she only kept about 10. I also rented our CARES for use on the plane. http://www.kidsflysafe.com/ As you can see from the website, they are $75 to buy. No thanks! I decided to look and see if I could buy one on ebay and came across some sellers who rent them! Even better! I just had to contact the seller with our dates to see if she had one available. She has rented over 1000 times with nothing but postitive feedback. The best part, it's only $13.99 plus $6 shipping! She'll ship it out to us about a week before we leave and then we have to make sure it's postmarked no more than 2 days after we return. Excellent! :thumbsup2 I also got an email from JetBlue on Monday letting me know there was a change in our flight time home. I slowly scrolled down hoping they weren't moving us up hours and hours. Thanksfully, they moved our flight home back by 10 minutes. So silly!

Ok. Now, what you've all been waiting for....Cole's birthday party pics! We had the party at my parents house because it can hold more people. It ended up being a rainy, yucky day, but we made the best of it.

My mom and younger sister (who flew in from NYC) made the cupcakes. They have crushed up oreo crumbs on top with 2 baby oreos that make up the ears.

My little cutie pie

I still can't believe how fast this year went by. Madison just had her last day fo 4th grade yesterday too. How do I stop time?! Next year will be her last year in elementary school and then it's off to middle school. We're staying inside today because it's supposed to be VERY hot. It should hit the mid to high 90's but feel like it's over 100 degrees. Yikes! I guess we'll have to wait to do some fun summer vacation stuff.

Your last full day looks great Meghan! I have always wondered about Garden Grill. Glad to know it's a good one! :thumbsup2

Cole's party looks really cute. He is getting so big. His curls are absolutely adorable!! :goodvibes

Thanks! Garden Grill was wonderful on our last trip. The rotating didn't bother us at all either. You turn so slowly that you can hardly notice it.

It was a great party. He is getting big, but he's still a peanut compared to other 1 year olds.

Very cute birthday party pics! :goodvibes

Thanks Shelly!

Oh my gosh! He is a cutie pie! He got the curls too I see! Gosh, it seems like just yesterday you got back from your trip and announced your pregnancy!

I love Epcot too! I always try to squeeze in more time there if I can. It's nice that you all like it!

Your last day looks great. Your positive review of Garden Grill made me change our reservations from Akerhus to Garden Frill on our Epcot day. :). Right now our ADR is at 5:50 but I will keep and eye out if anything earlier comes available.

I have thought about ordering pins of Ebay but I think I will put it off until Zavier gets older and wants to do it. If I were to do it now it would just be one more thing to carry around with a 16 month old.

Cole's birthday looked amazing. He looks so much older than picture in your introductions (I know Moms love to hear how grown up their los look haha) He sure is handsome, I just love his hair.

Your cupcakes look really cute. I was originally going to make them for Zavier's birthday but with everything else I want to make and do I decided just to order them and decorate them myself (likely with oreos too) and spend more time on everything else.

How did you do the Mickey Oreos on a stick? Did you just stuff the little oreos into the big one and dip it? I think I will make those and Mickey rice crispies as thank you gifts.

Wow! I can't believe Madison is going to be in her last year of elementary next year! Cole's party looks so much fun. Love the chocolate covered mickey oreos. What a great treat!

I haven't been to Garden Grill, but my family thinks it sounds interesting so we may be eating there next year! I like Living with the Land-- it is such a peaceful ride, so I am sure the rotation over the ride will be fun!

Love that you can rent CARES. Hopefully I will be pregnant again before that-- I plan to register for one so that I can get 10% off (or receive it as a gift, LOL!) I think that we will use it a lot before the kid is old enough to sit with only a lap belt.

I love Cole's curls! When did those appear? Cute! Is he getting into everything yet?

This year just flew by. I love being able to be home with him so we can snuggle and play all day.

Epcot is by far our favorite park. MK is a close second. I know there will be more things for Cole to experience at MK, but we need to make him an Epcot lover like us!

Garden Grill is so yummy. I love that you don't even have to order anything! They just bring everything over family style.

I'd wait with the pin trading like you said. Madison started it when she was 6 1/2 and just loves it. Wish they had pin trading when I was little!

Cole has gotten so big since that pic at the beginning of the PTR. He's my little man! There was no escaping the curls. Tony & I both have curly hair, but he keeps his hair so short that you can't tell.

My mom and sister did such a good job with the treats for the party. For the chocolate covered oreos, I'm not sure how they assembled them. All I know is that they used double stuff oreos...maybe they wedged the mini ones in the cream and then dunked into the chocolate???

I can't believe it either! She'll be 10 in October and that makes me feel old! The chocolate covered oreos were a big hit!

I definately recommend Garden Grill to everyone. I don't know why it's not more popular.

I was so happy knowing I could rent a CARES. I didn't want him to sit on my lap because I know he wouldn't sit still that long (about 3 hours) and I did NOT want to lug his big car seat with us either.

I love Cole's curls! When did those appear? Cute! Is he getting into everything yet?

Thanks! The curls have always been there, but they didn't start to really show until about 9 months. We knew his hair would be curly from the moment he was born. He is starting to get into everything. We took the big playard thing we had and put it around our entertainment center. Don't need him destroying the Wii and dvd player! We have gates everywhere too. He's not quite walking yet, but I think that he can. He cruises around holding onto the sectional sofa and sometimes he'll take a few steps. However, when he lets go and stands by himself, it's like he starts thinking about walking but just can't do it.

Just found our last remaining chocolate covered oreo Mickey head! To make the ears, you have to separate the mini oreo! You then take each side of the mini to make each ear and you wedge it into the cream of the double stuff.

Hey! I told you I'd be here, and here I am! I am all caught up and VERY impressed with all your shopping! I am way behind on my shopping, and I need to remedy that:thumbsup2! I have an excuse for my kids, though--they just keep getting so much bigger. I bought them some things that I thought would last through the summer but they've already outgrown them. Now I'm going to make it my mission to find some cute things for the trip before all the summer things are put away for the season at the stores.

:welcome: So glad to have you here!

I am a crazy shopper when it comes to Disney trips. I'm hoping that everything I've bought for Cole will fit him come September. He's a little guy and still wears mostly 9 month clothing. I hope he grows enough (and just enough) to fit into the 12 month stuff I've bought him for the trip. I've even bought some 18 month stuff (why do they not make 15 month clothing?) because I didn't want stuff to be too small.

I'm waiting until the end of August to buy Cole some shoes for the trip. I'd like to either get him some Crocs or something else that offeres a closed toe without it being a sneaker. Something that can get wet but won't be uncomfortable.

Cole's hair is stunning! Also, would you like to plan me a Mickey Mouse birthday too? ;) I've never eaten at Garden Grill, but now I'm sorely tempted for whenever I get back to WDW (and it's all because of you!).

Love his party pics....and look at that hair!!! How gorgeous are those curls!! LOL!!!!

Thanks! His hair gets lots of compliments when we're out and about!

Thank you! :goodvibes Haha....I had a lot of help from my mom with the party.

I can't say enough good things about Garden Grill. Their menu is on All Ears and it makes me hungry just reading it!

Your last day looks great. We love Garden Grill.
I love the Mickey themed party.
The cupcakes and Mickey oreo sticks looked too cute!
And, Cole looks so adorable eating his cupcake!
I cannot believe that Cole is now one and that Madison is going into the 5th grade! That reminds me so much of my last WDW trip because we went in Sept during Lexi & Levi's 5th grade year. I was so sentimental that school year because it was their last year being in elementary school.
