Celebrations Galore & Free Dining too! A Sept 2012 PTR (TR started!)

Day 2 sounds good! I've never been to the Cape May Cafe breakfast but I've always wanted to go. You'll have to let me know how it is! That's the one where they're all dressed in beach gear right?

Yes it is. There are pics from Cape May in my last TR from Sept 2010. It was great!

Should be a fun day! Brunch is a nice way to have an early meal, but still be able to make rope drop!

Your day 2 plans sounds great! I really want to do a breakfast but we always end up wanting to cancel because we never feel like running around that much in the mornings since most are at hotels. But since we are staying at beach club maybe I will book it there. We have ate there before and liked. Haha thanks for giving me an idea!

You forgot about getting lots of cute character pics in the Character Spot at EPCOT! :)
Soarin is the only ride we came across where they made us 'show' them our kid to get a rider swap pass. It was very annoying because it's much easier to leave the baby outside of the Land pavilion than to bring him all the way downstairs.

Have you been to Cape May for breakfast before? I can't remember if you have or not, but we LOVED it! It is my favorite place to do a breakfast! I can't believe Cole is almost a year old!!! That's just crazy!!!!

We love brunch. We just have a little snack before we leave the resort...granola bar, share a bagel or muffin....and then we fill up at breakfast!

Thanks! We are HUGE breakfast eaters in my family. Cape May is really nice and you can't beat the characters in their beach attire! So cute!

Hahaha....yes. We haven't been to the Character Spot since our Jan 09 trip! We'll have to stop there with Cole on this trip.

Thanks for letting me know about Soarin' and the baby swap. I think we'd bring him in with us anyways....maybe take a quick spin on Living with the Land (we love that ride).

We went to Cape May on our last trip for breakfast. It was awesome!

I can't believe Cole's birthday is just around the corner. Makes me sad!

On to Day 3 Plans:

September 20th

Today we will be getting up early for EMH at MK. Yay! We just love EMH because we can accomplish SO much in that first hour before the park officially opens. We usually head to Fantasyland and get everything done over there. I think on this trip we'll head to PP to grab a FP and then head over to Storybook Circus to ride the new Dumbo!!! After Dumbo, we'll go back and hit up Pooh, IASM, Philharmagic, maybe the Carousel and Mad Tea Party (Tony and Maddie) and then use our FP for PP. By the way....this whole "expired" FP thing is totally going to change how we tour the parks. We almost never went back during our real FP return time.

Anyways....we'll stick around MK until about 10am and then walk on over to the Contemporary for our 10:30am ADR at Chef Mickey's!!! This will be our 3rd time doing this plan...EMH at MK and then to CM's for a late breakfast. We just love Chef Mickey's and I'm sure Cole will too. After our late breakfast we'll go back to POFQ to swim/nap.

The evening will have us going back to Epcot. YAY! :goodvibes We'll do some World Showcase touring since we'll have done FW the day before. I feel like we never get enough time to see everything that the WS has to offer. For example, Maddie and Tony have NEVER seen any of the films!!! I haven't since I was a teenager, so I'd really like to see at least one on this trip. We also must get a delicious caramel treat from Germany. This shop wasn't open yet on our last trip and I'm dying to have something from there. Maybe we'll skip our usual pretzel on this particular evening.

The plan is to stay for IllumiNations and I really hope Cole cooperates. On my first trip when I was 2, IllumiNations scared me to death and my mom had to take me away. She still remembers walking around a very dark FW all by herself. There was no one else around and she says it was very creepy. Yikes!

Ok, I did some more shopping yesterday:

002-26.jpg

Bought this shirt at Aeropostale and it was 1/2 off! That brought it down to about $12 and then I had some merchandise credit....I only paid $4!

003-24.jpg

The muscle tank on the left is from Target and the t-shirt is from Babies R Us. The tank was only $8 at Target and the t-shirt was on sale for $5!!

004-22.jpg

Another great find from Babies R Us and it was only $8 for the set!! Cole can never have too many bathing suits!

005-20.jpg

Bought these for myself at ON yesterday. They are the most comfortable and softest pair of shorts I've ever worn.

006-19.jpg

More tanks for me from ON ($6 each). Yes, I did already post a picture of these exact same tanks in different colors. If something fits well, I'll buy a lot of it!

007-15.jpg

This shirt I bought at ON for Madison. So cute!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Hey! I just found this pre-trippie and am hooked! :thumbsup2 I've read your other reports, but couldn't bring myself to get on the DIS for awhile since we didn't have a trip planned.

I just bought one of the striped tanks you have from Old Navy! So comfy! :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear more!

I went shopping this weekend too! LOL. Old Navy has so many cute things - I snagged a few tank tops from them as well.

I always went by the FP times printed on my passes because I didn't know any better LOL. So it won't affect me at all, I'm used to it! I can only imagine how it's going to change the touring plans for people who used them whenever. Good luck!

Hi there! Thanks so much for coming over and reading my PTR. I know how hard it is to get on the DIS when you don't have a trip planned. It's hard to read about everyone else's planning.

Aren't those tanks the best?! The 2 in the picture are most likely for the trip. I have 2 other ones I've already worn this weekend!

There were so many great sales this past weekend! I went a little overboard. :rotfl:

I used to follow the times on the FP until I read the DIS!!!! We started "breaking the rules" on our Jan 09 trip.

I am also used to breaking the FP rules. It will definitely throw a kink into things. Bummer on the change!

Your late breakfast plans look great! I love doing it that way as well. How do you get to BC from Epcot? Cape May sounds wonderful! I have heard good things.

Do you still work at ON? Do you have any of their bathing suit separates? I about killed myself this weekend in the mall, helping my girls find a suit. Our store didn't have much in so I ordered a few pieces for them online. I like the mixing and matching ability! :thumbsup2

You always buy such amazing clothes for your trips! I really need to start saving so I can do the same. =) Unfortunately (Fortunately?) we will be going with 6 (hopefully 7) kids next October which means I need to save a lot, LOL!

Your plans are looking great Meghan! :goodvibes

Loving all the cool new clothes! :cool1:

Thanks Shelly! You know how much I love buying clothes for Disney trips!

The FP thing is really going to throw me off, but then again, so is traveling with a little guy under 3!

We are breakfast junkies! To get to the BC from Epcot you just walk there via the International Gateway. It's located between the UK and France pavillions and it's only about a 10 minute walk to the BC. It's such a lovely walk and I look forward to taking it again.

I do not work at ON anymore. I quit back in January 2011. I miss the discount but not the annoying people! I do not have any of their bathing suits. They do not fit me well at all.

Aw, thanks!! I actually returned the shirt from Aeropostale and got a different one instead. I hadn't tried it on at the store and once I did, it was way too long to wear with shorts. I'll post a pic of the new shirt soon.

Wow! That is a lot of kids to travel with!!! :scared1:

I'm here to read along! Congrats on getting the free dining, and the credits and cheap flights, those are all awesome!!

We're also taking a trip down in Sept, and we'll even been in AK on the same day! Looking forward to reading more plans!

Thanks so much for reading! :goodvibes Do you have a PTR?? If not, feel free to post any of your plans here. I'd love to see where you'll be on each of your days!

We are so exciting to be going back for free dining. It's the best deal for our family right now. Speaking of flights, I just got ANOTHER credit from JetBlue! Our return flight was originally $155/person and it's now down to $110/person! We now have a credit of $180. That will come in handy because I'm dying to get down to NYC to visit my sister!

Day 4- September 21st

We plan to sleep in (as much as you can while at WDW) this day. We have a lunch ADR at T-Rex for 11:30am. We'll probably do some shopping while at DTD as well. I can't leave there without purchasing something. I'm also dying to try out a cupcake from babycakes!!!

We will be going to MNSSHP this evening and we can't wait to go to the party again. We have no idea what we'll be doing costume wise, but we have plenty of time to figure it out. We were able to enter the MK at 4pm the last time we went to the party, so that's the plan for this year too. We really loved the Boo to You parade, the Villains Mix & Mingle and being able to meet so many characters around the park. The trick or treating was great and we took home so much candy. By going earlier in our trip (we went on the last night in 2010), we'll be able to snack on some yummy candy each day.

In other news....Cole turned 1 on Saturday and that makes me so sad. We had a very busy weekend, so we'll be having his party this Saturday. The theme is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse of course!!! Speaking of the weekend, we had 2 dance recitals (I teach and Maddie takes ballet), an Irish dance competition called a feis (pronounced fesh) and a wedding. It was a hectic weekend and I'm still trying to recover.

All of your days plans looks great!
I love the Aeropostle top. And, I was just looking at that same red Mickey top from Old Navy today for Lexi! I'm trying hard to resist buying her Mickey clothes because she only wears it at Disney.
Cole's Nemo swimsuit is too cute!
And, I can't believe that Cole is one. He is such a cutie pie! It seems just like yesterday that I was reading your post that you were expecting!!!

Thanks Amy!

Madison does still wear Disney tops outside of WDW, but I don't know how much longer that will last. Her favorite color is red, so I knew she's like it.

I love the Nemo swimsuit too! I don't know if it will still fit him on vacation, but we'll see. It's so hard to buy him clothes for Sept because I have no idea what will fit him by then. He can still fit into some 9 month stuff, but he mostly wears 12 month stuff. Why don't they make 15 month clothing??? I've always wondered why they jump from 12 months to 18 months. :confused3

I can't believe it either. I promise to post pictures from his party this weekend! Time has flown by!!
