Celebration - Special things to do

Hi all,

My parents are going on a cruise out of Port Canaveral in January. They've decided to head down the day before and stay at the Celebration Hotel. They have never seen Celebration before.

I would like to get them a gift certificate or something for Christmas that they can use during their stay. Any ideas for special things to do?

I thought of:

- Tickets to La Nouba (they would have to head over to DTD, but I think they would love the show)

- GC for some restaurant in Celebration for dinner OR sunday brunch. (But where?!)

- I saw horse and carriage rides are available around Celebration... are there GC's available for that?

Any other ideas?

ps: Last year, we gave them a WDW GC and reservations for dinner at California Grill. They loved it!

I'd opt for La Nouba. It's an experience they'll never forget, and they'll also have Downtown Disney to enjoy before and after the show. With all the shopping and dining options available, they're sure to have a truly magical evening. They could also take a romantic little tour on the boat that goes between Downtown Disney and Port Orleans Riverside.

But do tell them to take a walk around the lake there, preferably in the morning. It is quite beautiful and makes for a nice romantic touch. Oh, and for brunch, the Columbia House restaurant is just superb.

We've had several wonderful meals at Cafe D'Antonio, a very nice Italian restaurant in Celebration. I'd definitely recommend it.

I think this would be fun:

"A new type of dealership called NEVrland at Celebration rents them for a test spin at $39.95 an hour.

After rounding up 100 Segway buyers who live in Celebration for a test, NEVrland also got permission to rent a fleet of 10.

I second the recommendation for lunch or dinner at the Columbia. They have great cuban food. I love their signature 1905 salad, black been soup and cuban sandwiches.
