Celebration Roundup and Barbeque?

Has anyone done this meal either for lunch or dinner? How was the food? Was it fun for kids? Is there any "entertainment", or is just the meal? Any pictures?

Best meal in Disneyland!!!!!!

Food was beyond delicious and there was so much of it, and you can ask for more of anything at all. My kids loooooved it. They had entertainment that consisted of a lady singing songs and a guy on guitar. I know that doesn't sound like a lot of fun but it was. She played a lot of games with the kids there and got them all involved. She was always choosing different kids to get up on the stage and do things and they had a little parade around the restaurant, dancing all the way.

Was sooooooo fun I would definately do it again!!!

We had dinner there on Sunday and it was GREAT! Even dd who is a picky eater ate well. The kids loved the food and liked the music. In my opinion, it is the best value for the price.

Very very good! Served family style with seconds! Mmmm they even have new desserts that I cannot wait to try
great for kids you sit at picnic tables which makes it easy to wiggle
around very filling and worth the $ if you have big eaters

Are there characters at this meal? I had thought I read at one point that Woody and Jessie were at this, is that true? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

No characters, it has live entertainment. Woody and Jesse have been known to wander around outside it, or pass through on the big thunder trail. But they do not interact with the dinner.
I believe it is now known as "big thunder BBQ"

I wish I was at home and could load pictures. We did this last year and Jessie spent about 5-10 minutes with us. She started messing with one of us and then noticed my son had a sword. They "fought" for a few until my son dealt a deadly blow and she put on a 2 minute dying session before getting a round of applause for her performance. When I get home I will load some of those pics. It wasa great time and good memories.

We really liked our experience here too. DH doesn't generally like to get chicken when we go out to eat since he gets a lot at home but this was his favorite part of the meal. It was really good. We also really liked the entertainment. We had a guy who sang and played piano and guitar. He wandered around singing songs about people in the audience which was funny and then he went up on stage and sang more songs while he played the piano.

It's actually better without characters, it really doesn't need them. We went when they were there, we got pics with Jessie and Woody came to our table the "picked" on DBF for a while. It was fun with them but it's better without them. We love the food, DBF and I are pretty small but we will not eat all day and then eat 3 or 4 helpings when we go to the BBQ....sooooooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!!!!!! And yes, they will bring you anything you ask for, all you eat and drink and so worth it.

This kind of makes me sad. We love TS, and Woody was the highlight of our visit there. Well, my DS would probably say the cupcakes were, so double whammy for us!

Last April:

My DS is a bit shy, but he was glad to see Woody! (it was very hot that day, which is why there are about a million cups next to DH!)

The red velvet cupcake was dreamy. Too bad these aren't a part of the meal anymore. It also looks like they took the corn wheels away from the lunch menu, which is too bad. They were excellent! Probably still a great value for the price. I think we would go again, but we would probably opt for dinner just for the corn!

So how much is it now that the characters are gone?

According to Allears, Adult lunch is $19.99, dinner is $24.99; kids are $9.99. That is before tax and gratuity.

We went in October last year. If it's raining they will close since it's all outside but it's usually still pretty hot in October.

We went in Oct, Nov and Dec...LOL they said as long as it isn't raining it's open. Yes, they took the corn cob wheels and the sausages off the lunch menu, they are there for the dinner menu tho. the cupcakes ARE available but they aren't included. Honestly, we weren't impressed when we had them, we much prefer the whole meal without the characters and the desserts.
