I have so much fun when wearing my Celebration Pins at the parks! It was awesome with everyone saying Happy Birthday during my trip of March of 2013 and Congratulations during our October of 2014 trip (engagement).

My DH and I will be celebrating our 1st anniversary this October and he's not a huge fan of the pins but he knows i enjoy them so he wears it with me!

My question is how long do you wear your pins for? If you're there to celebrate a birthday do you wear it your entire stay, just on your birthday, or just one day? Thoughts?

For me personally, I've only worn it the day of but many people wear it for their whole vacation as it's "a vacation to celebrate their birthday, anniversary, etc.". It's really just personal preference though.

I wear my pin the whole trip but usually because I pin it to my purse or backpack and just never take it off. Sometimes the pin stays on there for a few weeks after a trip too.

I have only sheepishly worn one for my birthday. I'm always afraid they'll make a hole in the shirt. But my dh and ds will proudly wear one for any occasion. We are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this summer, and I'll wear one. Probably on a bag or something though.

We wear ours all week- we usually go in the summer and celebrate our anniversary (on or a few weeks before the actual day). We have never gotten pixie dust from them- aside from an occasional cupcake at a meal- but it's nice to hear the CMs say happy anniversary. :)

I was there 2 weeks ago on my birthday but I wore it for the whole time I was there. I spent 2 days at Universal so I switch to Universal pin for those 2 days but for the other days, I pinned it to my purse. I wore it so long, writing (with my name came off)!

My bf will be wearing his all week whether he wants to or not. Bring on the "Happy Birthdays" free desserts! (I say this not expecting free stuff everywhere...neither of us are really dessert people, so if we get even one it'll be a nice surprise and something we wouldn't really order anyway)

My gf wanted me to wear a Happy Birthday pin when we were there on my birthday. I wore it for that day and that was it.

I know a lot of people do it, but I personally don't see the point in wearing a birthday pin for an entire trip instead of just the one day. I'd feel caught off guard being told "happy birthday" when it wasn't my birthday. Aside from the birthday pin..the "I'm celebrating" or "just married" pins I can see wearing the entirety of the trip

Where it the whole time!

On our 20th Anniversary, several restaurants gave us free dessert.

We wore our Anniversary pin (35th) for the week, since the trip was our anniversary gift to each other. This year we'll do it again (it's our 40th). On this same trip DGS will probably wear his first visit button all week except for the one day when he will get to wear his birthday button.

DD wore her Bday button the whole week. We are only there every few yrs. , so why not celebrate as much as possible! Plus you are at different parks each day, so you can celebrate at each one. Go for it!

I wore a celebration button that had Graduation written on it for my high school grad trip (since WDW doesn't have graduation buttons) and a really kind CM in the Emporium on our first day looked at my button, declared it "too boring with just Graduation on it!" and pulled one out of his pocket and wrote and drew all over it, adding the initials of my high school, "2012" on the balloons (this was the old style of buttons of course), and added my name! It was a really fun pixie dust moment. I wore that grad button on my shirt all week, and put the old one on my backpack. We marked our meals as celebrations as well, so I got a free cupcake at most of them, which I definitely didn't expect.

(My best friend and I are headed back this spring to celebrate our university graduations, and we'll be wearing Celebration buttons all week, with her additionally getting a First Visit button! Not sure where we'll wear them yet!)

As for birthdays, I'd say go for it! The whole trip is about celebrating! And make sure your reservations for dining know about the celebration as well.

We enjoy wearing them for the whole trip. My wife (now) and I wore ours the whole trip after getting engaged on the first night and loved hearing congratulations the entire time.

My parents wore their 45th anniversary buttons the whole trip, despite the fact that the actual day didn't fall on the trip at all. It led to some lovely conversations with CMs and other guests and a champagne toast at our Boma dinner. On the same trip my brother and his wife wore their 10th anniversary button on just their anniversary date.

We were only there for 3 days during my birthday stay, so I wore mine all weekend. The guest who came with us, and whose birthday was only a few days prior, refused to wear hers since "it was a lie". As a family, we can celebrate both parents' birthdays in the same week. 'Butch' wears his only on his actual birthday (or the day after if we travel down on his) while 'Ms. Lady' is content to wear hers the second half of the trip. And their first trip back to the World in years they both wore an anniversary button to celebrate their 30th a few months late; well, 'Butch' wore his when he remembered it. To each their own.

See if he'd be willing to wear his pin on your anniversary (or a day symbolizing it) and just go ahead and wear yours the rest of the trip!

glad to hear there are mixed reviews on this! for my birthday trip i only wore it the day of cause the same week we were celebrating my sisters birthday also! since we will be down there two weeks, first week is just us and the second my family will be down to celebrate my youngest sisters 21st birthday a couple months late. So I'm sure i can convince my DH to wear it at least the first week when its just us!

we wore our happily ever after buttons the day after we got engaged. We were given them by a CM in the magic kingdom who saw the proposal. I think that's the only time I've even worn one, my DH is really not into it and that one day was all I was getting out of him.

the whole trip......I am there celebrating something for the whole time, so I go for it.
Wore a birthday pin in Jan (along with BFF who was also celebrating her birthday) for the 2 weeks we were there.
I pin it on my bag and just leave it.

On our first trip, DD didn't get a birthday pin until the middle of our trip. I knew about them & has put her birthday on our reservations, but I wasn't going to make a big deal of it. She was getting a birthday cupcake at almost every TS meal we went to, so the button wasn't a big deal! She wore the pin on the day she got it. After that, she got another pin that was in Spanish and wore it for the day.

The next birthday trip, she got it at checkin and wore it the entire trip. By the last day, her name was fading off. When she met Jasmine & Aladdin, Aladdin wrote her name back on the pin. It was MIL's first trip & I noted it on our reservation, but she didn't get a pin. I told her I would get one for her, but she didn't want it.

On our next trip, DD will have a birthday, oldest niece will be celebrating high school graduation, & three other nieces will be on their first trip. We'll have to be sure they all get a pin to wear & wear it every day so it will be fair!
