just checked out the Today show contest - it is to win the premiere package for up to 4 people -- but only for USA residents.

gah! hope they bring out something to allow for non-USA residents to upgrade

So....2 days until we get more information. Anyone have any guesses what will be included in the email? I figure that we might as well try to guess a little bit since with only 2 days left there is not that much time to worry about us getting our hopes up too high.

My prediction is no matter what the email says there will be some disappointed or angry because they will not be getting all they hoped to recieve. I also predict there will be some that are pleased because the event will contain more or better than they expected.

Am I mistaken or did our confirmation email state only that on the 26th we would recieve an email that would tell us only when and how to recieve our welcome packet inclusions. That means there is no guarantee of info specific to our individual packages nor further celebration info as well.

i received the mailer from Universal for a contest for AP holders.
5 grand prizes for a premier vacation package for four for the nighttime gala on sunday.

and a number of first prizes for premier and preferred pasholders for the in park Q & Q sessions.

hope someone on this thread enters and wins!

I dunno. I am hoping to find out when and how we will get the blurays and pin. I'm also kinda hoping it will give more details about the autograph session and gala event, but I'm not gonna expect too much since I don't wanna feel badly if there is no info in it about those things. I'm just hoping for some information....really any information that we didn't already have.

i second this! really.. just any information i didn't have previously would be good, or at least instructions on where to go to get our welcome pack/gifts etc.

i hope they give us a lanyard... i'm hoping to use mine to carry around my butterbeer mug throughout the day

Apparently though Katie Leung who played Cho Chang will also be there for the Celebration. Evanna Lynch tweeted today about it, and being excited about their upcoming "Potter Family Reunion".

I was hoping for an email by now explaining the gala. Reason is if I need better clothing or something, I need to go shopping now! I'd love to see info regarding what we should wear and exactly what does the Gala entail.

We already got info about the autograph times. I don't think you'll know who you got at your slot time till you get there. However, it'd be nice to know how many signers at each event and if we can't take photos with them or not etc.

As for the Blu-rays and pins, probably will get them either at the hotel concierge or the park concierge. But how? Is your name on a list or something? I ordered a package before and there were kiosks. You put in your credit card and tickets came out where you redeemed at the park for whatever it was (special lenticular ticket I think it was). Or it's possible at the gala or autograph signing you'll get them. However, everyone is getting that, so probably will be same for all... upon check-in or at park entrance.

It also would be nice if they had extra stuff (one email said and "more" to be announced later), if we knew what that was?

Anyone going to the movies? I don't want to use my time for that. I can watch the Blurays when we get back home!

i don't plan to see the movies whilst on vacation, as we already own them... and we want to spend as much time in the parks as possible...

We already have all the Blu rays so far but still plan on trying to take in a movie or two especially if they have the last one in Imax 3D. The park closes around 7 most days unless they extend hours so I think we will have time to include at least one. Just something special about watching the movies right there near WWOHP during the Celebration weekend.

I'm not sure if we will see the movies. I'm tempted to go to my absolute favorites or at least the last one if in IMAX 3D, cuz I've never been to one in IMAX before. I told DH that honestly I might need to have something to sit down at after busy mornings in the park, so seeing a movie then spending time at the pool might be nice unwind time. Ya know?

We have all the movies on DVD or Bluray too, but I'm excited to get them all on Bluray, cuz I've been waiting for the best time to splurge on the Bluray copies. Since DH and I will both get a set, the other set will make a great Christmas gift for someone.

I hope to know if I need to shop too for the gala event. Also am I the only one who wants to look good even for autographs? I mean we will meet the stars and I don't wanna be in a tshirt and jeans. LOL!

I am glad people are getting excited too. I posted the question, cuz I felt like no one was talking about it anymore, and with it coming up so soon I think that talking about it again will up our excitement a little bit.

My DD is counting the days to our trip. We're all pretty excited along with her.

I'm even more excited now. My DS (25) decided he wanted to come with us even though he won't be able to do the special stuff. We hadn't been able to get him a room at the Hardrock Hotel where we're staying for Saturday night - only Friday and Sunday nights but today I checked again and scored a room for all 3 nights for him!

Wonder what we'll get tomorrow??? I too would like to know more about the gala. Since the park closes at 7pm Sunday night, I'm hoping we'll get WWOHP to ourselves. Now, that would be awesome!

Oh wow! I didn't realize that. That is kinda stupid! I mean we paid full price for both of us, so why do we only get one bluray set when we obviously paid the amount to deserve 2. I guess I'll have to let DH know that. Bummer! At leas they aren't doing 1 of anything else.

i'm with you on the bluray sets... it would have been nice to have one per person, rather than one per package, but they are a pretty expensive giveaway... to be honest we are just as excited about the lanyard/pin combo as we are about the DVDS, and the fact that we each get a lanyard/pin combo is pretty cool for us as we're pretty easy to please.
