HI,

Thanks,

We always make a trip to celebration for Christmas to see everyones lights. The houses are gorgeous and at night with the lights...awesome! We also take our Christmas cards with us and take them to the post office so the post mark will read "Celebration". Celebration is right down the street from Disney so you are close to everything. There are many restaraunts in the area. :thumbsup2 If you have never gone, its worth a visit. If it ends up not your cup of tea, your right down the street from everything, no lost time.

BTW, if you go, be sure to drive down the residential streets. If you stay on the main road you'll miss the point. Enjoy!

We were down in Celebration a couple of days ago and had a late breakfast in The Market Street Cafe. This was our first time trying this place but won't be our last - would certainly recommend it.

As far as decorations go :santa: the Christmas Tree had just gone up and they were putting up the Christmas cladding on the pavillions. Everything gets into swing on 1st December with their nightly snow falls in the main street.

It is also a lovely place to take a stroll around the lake or take a seat in one of the lakeside rocking chairs with a nice coffee and watch the world go by - worth a visit in my opinion :goodvibes

Cool, thanks for the tips. We hope to squeeze it in. So much to do, so little time!

Celebration is the neotraditional town the Disney built about 15-20 years ago,Disney is no longer associated with Celebration, but it's still a really nice neighborhood with a town square, shops, school, restaurants, a movie theater and a hotel.

I've never gone during the holidays, what should we do if we plan to visit it?Should we park and walk around the main streets for the snow fall. Also at what time does that happen and is there enough parking for everyone who's visiting?

I was just looking at their website yesterday. It said they have snow at 6,7,8, and 9 on the hour. It did say that parking is free, but not where parking is at.

Parking is near the shops - on the street ot there is a car park.

We have eaten also at Market Street cafe & Cafe D'Antonio - very nice & reservations might be needed at night.

Thanks for all the info about Celebration in Dec.! I've always wnated to get there and will have to make a point of it next Dec.!
